Know the musical instruments of Indonesia: flute (Suling) and its history in the time of the kingdom
Flute is a kind of musical instrument from bamboo. The sound of bamboo flute is characterized softly and can also be combined with other musical instruments well.
Modern flute for experts is generally made of silver, gold or a mixture of both.
In the history of the golden flute empire can only be played by the king of kings in his day. While the ordinary flute is only for ordinary people, the ordinary flute is made of nickel-silver, or metal that is covered with silver.
The standard concert flutes are lit in C and have a 3 octave tone range, which starts from the middle of C. However, on some flutes for the experts there is an additional key to reach the B under the middle C. This means the flute is one of the musical instruments a high-pitched orchestra, any higher-pitched musical instrument is a higher piccolo than a flute.
To make bamboo flute, provide the following tools and materials:
Material:
bamboo reed length 30 cm, with diameter ± 3 cm, clog (wood cork).
a sharp folding knife, and a smaller reed to smother the hole, then a little shell.
How to make:
The reed is 30 cm long divided by two with an equal point. Start from the middle make a hole hole to the right with the diameter of approximately 1/2 cm only. Between the holes one with the other we can give the distance index finger or approximately 1.5 cm only. Make a hole on the flute as many as 6 pieces with equal distance.
When making a hole on the flute be careful and use a sharp knife to facilitate the manufacture of flute. To the left of the most centered hole, make another rather large hole to blow the flute to sound and pitched well.
