*Preparation of planting media

Planting media made using materials in the form of rice bran, wood sawdust, lime, and enough water. The way to make mushroom growing media is to mix the ingredients evenly

*Fermentation

In this case, the planting medium must be fermented before use. Fermentation aims to obtain an ideal planting medium for ear mushroom growth

Media that has been made before is left to stand for approximately 4-5 days.
When the media is left idle, the temperature of the media will increase to 70 ° C.
The media must also be flipped every other day.
Planting media that is ready for planting is marked by changing the color of the planting media to dark brown or black

*Making baglog

The fermented planting media is inserted into a heat-resistant plastic with a capacity of 1 kg, size 30 × 20 cm, thickness 0.5 mm, and height of 20 cm.
The planting media is compressed using a press or beaten using a bottle. Compaction is carried out until the bottom of the plastic resembles a bottle or baglog.
The shape of the plastic neck is made conical so that it is easier when entering the ring (ring).
Then, the mouth of the bottle is closed using cotton and a baglog cover. The purpose of this bottle is to close the mouth so that the water does not seep into the baglog during the sterilization process

*Harvest mushroom period

The period of harvesting mushrooms is characterized by the appearance of a wavy surface at the edge of the mushroom. Generally ear mushrooms are ready to be harvested at the age of 3-4 weeks after the formation of the prospective mushroom body. In one period of mushroom planting around 5-6 months, mushroom can be harvested 4-6 times. How to harvest ear mushrooms is done by removing the body of the mushroom and its roots. Because if the root of the mushroom is still left on the growing media, it will be able to disrupt the growth of the next mushroom
