RE: [ENG/DEU/ESP] Competition series | Fast food - what do you like? | Fast Food - was schmeckt dir ? | Comida rápida: ¿qué le gusta?
Shawarma is one of the fastest-growing food trends in the Philippines. It's meaty and fatty, and the packaging design is mobile-friendly. It is made by alternately stacking strips of fat and sliced cuts of seasoned meat, like chicken, beef, lamb rolled into a large piece of flatbread or pita. Inside the pita, vegetables, pickles, and even french fries can be added. The roll is then steamed or heated.
Shawarma is a meal replacement for some Filipinos (myself included). The picture above only costs 0.4 SBD at Alexandro's Greek Cuisine. Isn't that amazing?
I'm glad you're taking part in the competition too. I know something similar from Greece, with meat, salad and chips in a pita bread.
