A thrilling and successful football game between team StayFit and Team HFC Nation
You can't believe how happy I am that for the first time in my life, I was able to host a friendly match with another fitness group and it went as planned! It can only be with the help of the Almighty that everything went successfully. I am grateful and thankful to him.
I announced this football game last week here. And I detailed the plans for the match.
A day before that match day, I and 2 others clients who volunteered to assist went to the market to get few things that we can be used to entertain everyone. We bought things like malt drinks, bottled water, biscuits, glucose, candies, chewing gum. And many other things. They were all financed by well meaning clients of which @kidi40 and @alli001 were part of them including my humble self.
After the purchases, I went ahead to buy myself a stud for the football. I wasn't used it before but I think I need to buy it because I had been using my workout snickers to play ball and they have all torn. The stud I bought cost N21000 (84 steem) and I also bought shingles for N2500 (10 steem). I also arranged for the music box as well as generator and fuel that we will use since the power holders disconnected the light of that playground.
On that faithful day, I received a chat on my WhatsApp from the head coach of the HFC Nation that they are on their way even though they had a low turnout. Well, I told him to come that way so long as their 11 players are complete. He smiled!
They finally arrived when we were taking fitness classes for that morning. I wanted to keep it low since we are preparing for a football match. As soon as they arrived, I left the stage for King Charles who is the head coach to continue with the exercise programs while I run round to get the music box and the generator fixed. With the help of other clients, everything was set for the day.
By 8.30 am. We went out separate ways to dress up for the match. The line up was 5 females and 6 males and I was part of the team. Alli009l1 and kidi40 were also part of it along with others. @bossj23 was out media person that day.
After exchanging pleasantries, the game began but we were disappointed by the official referee that we had arranged to officiate the match. But we got a new referee there from the All-stars football team that uses the same vanue with us. That referee we had booked came very late but he apologised and told us his reasons and promised not to fail next time
We began playing the game by 9:15 am. Our opponent begged us not to play full 90 minutes as some members that drove them to the vanue had appointments to meet up with. We played for 30 minutes during the first half and the scores was 1:1. We were the first to score them and they later equalised.
Then we had a break that lasted for 15 minutes. Then, we shared the water, the candy and glucose to all the players.
The second half began in earnest with a lot of changes from us. The manager of our football team wanted everyone to play being that we had a lot of influx of new members who join my fitness group as a result of this game. He did his best to ensure that no one felt bad.
The second half was played for only 20 minutes due to the appointments that our opponent had. Well, we had to consent to their request because being a friendly man, we will like to continue playing this game. It won't end just once. The scores at the end of the match was 2:2. We also scored first and they equalised. It was indeed, a thrilling match! You needed to see spectators. You needed to see how we were being celebrated as if this is a premier League.
At the end of the match, we rolled out all the stuffs for entertaining them that we had came with. We all enjoyed them all and took pictures before they finally list in joy and happiness 😊😊😊. I was so happy that it ended in praise and happiness. No casualties, no injuries and no fights. I thank everyone who made this possible. I thank my members and the spectators for making it a memorable day for me.
Our opponent promised to host the return leg and they jokingly said that when we come to their side for the second leg, they they will feed us with goals! We also returned the same threat to them and we laughed. Well, we await their invitation for the return leg. It will be fun too.
Best regards!

You are the best ma'am. Even when I don't come around my spirit is there. I know I will overcome every obstacle and become punctual.
It was indeed a thrilling football game with HFC nation. I was okay with the outcome of the game though our expectations was to win. I spotted our weak point during that game, believe me, when we visit itam west. Dem go collect oo😂😂
Nwotonwoto! I agree, it's good we have spotted it out. We will be well prepared this time to face them. But I also believe that they took must have spotted their own weak points and will as well prepare for us. We really need to win the next time.
