DEPAY'S FIRST GOAL for CORINTHIANS // The World of Sports // LetsGoCoringation

Greetings, Coringation travelers!

Last Thursday, October the 17th of 2024, the Corinthians' Men's Football Team won a game of Brasileirão against Athlético Paranaense by 5x2 in Neo Química Arena. It was a really particular game, since we opened the scoreboard really fast and at the 17 minutes mark it was already 2x0 for us. However, after the second goal, the team got in their high heels and slacked of on the field. Athletico managed to tie the match still on the first half.

But in the second half, after stealing the ball on our defensive side, believing the play and suffering a foul on the offensive part, that our star Memphis Depay scored for the first time for Corinthians in the free kick. And it was not only a first goal, as well as a beautiful and important one, since it got us in the lead again. We even scored another two goals before the final wistle, to make the night even more special.

I really did want to register this moment through this post, but unfortunately the last few days have been too full for me to be able to write it sooner or to bring any more in depth information. For now, I have to go, because were right now playing the second leg of our semi-finals dispute against Flamengo in the Copa do Brasil, after losing the first game by 1x0.
