Something Stirs in The Sargasso Sea

in Pirate World5 years ago (edited)

While the High Seas offer many places to quest, explore, raid, fight, or even just relax at The Salty Tavern, there's a few select areas where activity is kept to a minimum. Maybe it be the old old doldrum flats that engulf the Western Abyss, or the Grand Whirlpools that surround The Fractured Isles; both be equally as intimidatin'.

That said, nothin' be more notorious and dangerous than the Sargasso Sea. Nobody knows where the legend of The Sargasso Sea and Captain Francesco's lost treasure started, but the troves of pirates and adventurers go out questin' fer that treasure never return.

This has led to many speculations as to what the nature of the Sargasso Sea and what it really holds, but all I can say is that tales of ghost ships sailing from the area have been received by mariners for quite some time.

And I know what you be thinkin' mateys, but these are not just stories. I have it on good authority that ghost ships be actively on their way toward the direction of Deadman's Bay as we speak.

Keep y'er crow's nest filled and on the lookout at all times, ye don't want to be ambushed by ghost ships, especially away from Deadman's Bay where there won't be defenses ta help ye. Not quite sure how to fight this threat. Cannonballs and plastic rings were enough to slay The Infernal Terrorsquid, but ghosts?

Godspeed on y'er quests, if ye dare risk y'er lives!

And whoever can come up with a reliable way to defeat ghosts will be rewarded in kind fer their assistance.

The Maiden's something or other. It was clearly an homage to a more superior ship, one that maidens desire...
