As India is a democratic country and I have observed many debates over new things which we have to adopt
Like we opposed and rejected computers during 90's.I have witnessed the paradigm shift. It doesn't matter how many rejections are there, only few acceptors will change the phenomenon.
It's my prediction crypto will be in a new Avtar we will see it's voluminous effect,a new rare precious metal with in very short period.
Criticism will be dusted out.
I believe crypto is future and world has to accept it sooner or later and so is INDIA. But as of now, environment doesn't seem conducive to our lawmakers and that's the reason they hesitate to adopt it. I fear that if any untoward move is taken currently, we nay be dragged down the ladder of technology. Otherwise we have to accept it.

Irrespective of many hurdles UPI system succeed in India that it has also faced similar kind of uncertainties. Government is very badly in need of money, I think they will regulate to squeeze money.
