The Diary Game: A Day in the Lab and other activities 29/07/2025
I got up from bed around 6:23 a.m. today and started getting ready for school. There was no time to eat because I had a Power and Machines practical, and I needed to be in the lab before 8 a.m.
Morning Activities
By the time the lecturer arrived, we were already busy with the setup, and he seemed impressed by our commitment and coordination. Everything was going well until the power supply suddenly went out, forcing us to stop halfway. The lecturer advised that we would continue the practical on Friday.
Afternoon Activities
When I finally got home, I changed into something dry and warm. As I sat down to rest, I felt a quiet sense of accomplishment. Even with the weather and interruptions, today still counted as a good day. one more step forward in my journey as an engineer.
Evening Activities
Later in the evening, after resting a bit, I decided to watch a movie I had heard so much about Miracle in Cell No. 7. It’s a deeply emotional Korean film about a mentally challenged father who is wrongly accused and imprisoned for a crime he didn’t commit. The movie beautifully explores the bond between him and his little daughter, and how that love brings unexpected joy and warmth to the lives of the hardened inmates in his prison cell. It’s one of those films that quietly breaks your heart and then gently pieces it back together.
By the end, I found myself completely moved. It reminded me of the power of innocence, love, and justice how sometimes even in the darkest places, light can find its way in.
After the movie, I had a warm dinner of white rice and sauce and a malt, and it felt like the perfect way to end such a full, reflective day. From the lab in the morning to the quiet tears in the evening, today was a mix of effort, emotion, and a little bit of rain.
