The Diary Game: Overcoming Pains And Obstacles (02-06-2025)

Hello everyone, it's your favorite steemian @purpleidy23. It's been a while, trust you guys are doing great? I am not very fine, I've been going through a whole lot of pains since last weekend and worst thing is, I don't have the necessary funds for my medication but all is well. I want to spare few minutes to update you all about my Monday's adventures so please, give me few minutes of your time so we can do this together.

I don't know if it's just me that wakes up in the morning most times but don't have the energy to pull through the day and doesn't even know if things will work out right because of how tired you are. Well, that's how I felt yesterday. I was so tired of life and wished miracle can happen but guess, things don't usually play out the way we want so we just have to keep living and not give up. I felt reluctant to get out of bed that morning but guess what, I had a class to attend and for the sake that I had started this journey already, I had to get out of bed and motivate myself to do the needful so I had my bath and went to school.

Something unusual happened when I walked through my school gate, the security man called me and asked that I go back home and change my clothes before coming back to school. I asked for the reason, he said my dress was too short and my school doesn't permit that. I told him I'm just getting yo hear this for the first time and moreover, I've used that dress throughout my first semester and passed through same gate, where they've always been at work but none of them ever complained of it so why today? The man answering in a harsh tone said that I shouldn't ask him any more question but go home to save myself from embarrassment and I responded saying there's no way I could go back. I walked through the gate and to my department, met some of my course mates standing outside and I joined them, we all moved in for the lectures at the scheduled time.

While lectures was ongoing, one of my course mates who was close to me during the last semester walked into the hall and sat close to me and asked why I haven't called her in a while and I also asked her same question, she came up with the excuse of being busy and I told her that I've been busy too and as such we're all chasing after things that are more important to us. I also added that no one is entitled to each other's call so she should wipe off all the entitlement mentality she had about who should call first or not. After class, my friend and I strolled down to one of our sit out where I introduced her to Steemit and showed her the necessary things she needs to know about the platform.

I went back home after I was done with my activities in school and when I got home, my roommate had bought maize and kept for me and happily, I thanked her for always having my interest at heart. I cooked the maize and also loosened my hair with the help of my little friend. It was actually a difficult task but we pulled through, finally I could pour water on my hair as it's been a while I haven't. After loosening my hair, I brought out the dirty clothes I had at home and washed them, they were much and I feared I won't be able to wash them all at first because of the pains I was going through but I had to bear the pains knowing that I had no one who would help me wash them.

While washing the clothes, my little friend gave me gist of what happened during the weekend when I was away between a co-tenant and her mom. It was a funny one as I never expected such from the person involved and her elder brother came out to confirm the story. Well, sometimes we should learn to expect the worst from our favorite person, I seized the opportunity to ask the elder brother to help me fetch water and he did. After washing the clothes, I stepped out and bought some ingredients to prepare dinner and even when there was no network to make payment with my card, the vendor asked me to go with the items and come back to make payment when there's network or when my phone is charged so I could make transfer in case network will still be fluctuating. I thanked him and left with the items, made dinner and ate with my little friend.
