The Diary Game [19/02/2025] My Colleague Bought A Pillow From An Hawker While At Work

HOW I SPEND MY YESTERDAY

So yesterday I woke up very early as usual and after saying a word of prayer to my creator I went about my chores, from sleeping and tidying up the room, dress my bed before stepping into the bathroom to do my personal hygiene.

I brushed my mouth, then tooky bath at once before leaving the bathroom to go dressed up. Then after I went into the kitchen to make myself breakfast and also to prepare my lunch that I will be carrying to work.

My breakfast was just a boiled egg, bread and hot tea, I prefer boiled eggs to fried eggs, that's because boiled eggs are prepared without additional oil, so they're lower in calories than fried eggs. Boiling is considered one of the healthiest cooking methods as it helps retain most of the nutrients in the food. Unlike frying, which can cause many vitamins and minerals to be lost in the oil.

After I finished taking my breakfast I arranged my work bag and off I left to work.

Getting to the office, I didn't see any of my colleagues and the office door was locked, so I decided to sit outside and wait for my supervisor to come, as she's always with the office key.

In few minutes time she arrived and others follow suit, as we entered inside, we proceeded with our normal prayer session before we open the shop, we cleaned up the shops before starting display our goods item outside for advertisement.

After that arrangement we had enough time to rest and unwind, while still expecting potential customers to come and patronize out goods because that is the purpose of us opening the shop.

Before we knew, it was time for lunch, I and my colleague went to eat.

After we finished eating, we went back inside to our duty post. As I went and sat in my small corner trying to rest my back on my chair, that was how I dozed off . The fan was blowing directly on me and for the fact that I had eaten too much of the food and I became so tired.

One of my colleague just came and wake me, instead of allowing me to have a little rest as the body wants it, even though against the company's rule.

She came to tell me that she wants to buy a pillow for her house since she doesn't have any, so she wanted me to come and help her make a good choice, as if I'm the one that will be sharing the pillow with her, lol 😂.

Meanwhile, she has already called the man that's hawking the pillow along the street. So I went outside to see the pillow man and also help her in making the choice, as if I know the good one from the bad one.🤷

After selecting the good pillow for her, she made a transfer of the money to the man selling it, while the man was busy arranging back his goods (pillows) when he received the credit alert and he was shocked that my colleague paid for just one pillow.

The man thought my colleague wanted to buy two, for the fact that she has made the man scatter all his pillows and a d also reduced the price for her, thinking it will be two. My colleague just told him that there's no money that she will manage one pillow for now.

So the man carried his pillows and continue with his hawking while I and my colleague went back inside the shop.

We had a very poor sales that yesterday, all the customers that came in couldn't see exactly what they wanted and they will leave with disappointment in their faces.

We were just seated in our different session feeling so bored because of poor sales, then I had a flashed back that I needed to burn the trash in the morning but I forgot, as I remembered it now, I moved into action immediately.

I picked up the lighter 🕯️, carried the trash bag and took it to where we normally burn the trash and put fire on it.

I stood there and made sure that everything was burnt into ashes before I left back to the shop.
It was time for closing, and we packed in the display goods from outside into the store and locked the door and went to our different homes.

As I got home I was feeling so tired but I still had a lot to do in the house, so I gather strength and attended to all the chores before I went and took a shower before I looked for what to eat for dinner.

I enjoyed my meal that night so well before I finally retired to bed. I wanna say thank you everyone for having patience to read my article to the end, till my next diary session, stay safe.
