The Diary Game: Attending Church Service/ Going On A Walk [02/02/2025]

Good day everyone and welcome to today's diary session, it's Sunday and it was a day for our Lord, I went to church and believe me you can't afford to miss this diary session, get your seat and relax let me take you through how my day went.

I woke up by 7am, though I was still sleepy but I had to struggle off my bed, today is 1st Sunday in the month of February and as an Orthodox Church member, we have to go to church early. I brushed my mouth and took my bath then went to church.

We don't eat in the morning as Orthodox members so today was fasting and I went to church fasting. When I got to church, the whole building was filled, most people only come to church every first Sunday of the month so i wasn't surprised, I was given a seat at the back so I had my seat and then listen to the sermon.

After sermon, prayers were made and it lasted for about 30 minutes or so but was not up to 1 hour. After prayers the choir rendered their song and then the communion was taken. I haven't baptized yet so I couldn't take the communion so all I did was just to sit and watch other taking their Communion then snapped it as the Reverend was breaking the communion bread.

After communion, some announcements were given and then the final offering was taken then we shared the grace in fellowship and I came back home. On my way back, I bought bread to come and eat because I was very hungry, it's been a while I ate this late, so I took the bread while waiting for the water I boiled to make garri to boil up so I can make garri with it.

After making the garri, I took it with the remaining soup I had at home, then went to bed due to how tired I was after eating. I woke up by 4pm to go out and stroll and that was the best part of my day since I did not have match to go and watch.

By 6pm, I was already back from my strolling so I came back and decided to do a little laundry, I only washed few clothes that were dirty, yea I know I washed it at night but I couldn't stand the hot weather during the day so I opted to washing this clothes this night before taking my dinner.

When I finished with the laundry, I visited the shop that is just opposite my compound and bought some few ingredients to prepare jollof rice with. I made jollof rice and ate it for dinner, it's been a while I took my time to prepare something nice to eat and this right here was something I just enjoyed.

So after eating, I took my bath and then climbed my bed, I was enjoying the fresh air coming through from my window while scrolling on steemit to vote for different posts, I enjoyed it anyways so I think it will be wise to share how my day went with everyone before I finally retire to my bed and have my rest, till my next diary guys, take care of yourselves and stay safe out there, much love from me to you all.
