The Diary Game: A Surprise Visit From My Grandmother [24/01/2025]

Hello my friends and welcome to my diary session for today, the weather has been harsh lately, I don't know who is experiencing this despite the outpouring some days again. Let me just take you through how my friday went.

So it's Friday, I woke up to my phone ringing, I struggled to pick it because I was still sleepy, I saw it was my grandmother from my paternal side, she literally came to visit me just as she had promised, this old woman will always go out of her way to keep to her promise.

I welcomed him, took the of bags she came with inside, I knew it was goodies from the village so when i took it inside I had to unwrap everything she came with, this woman came with enough food items, at least for a moment I won't be buying food items. She asked what I prepared for breakfast, I told her I didn't get to prepare anything, she went to my Landlord's kitchen and started peeling the cocoyam she came with so we could make cocoyam porridge.

While peeling the cocoyam I had to join her so we could finish it on time and due to the fact that she is an old woman but guess what? She said I shouldn't do it rather I should go set fire with firewood, me that has been ages now I haven't cooked anything using firewood.

When she finished with peeling the cocoyam, I helped her washed it for her atleast that one she allowed me to, then I took a seat to the local kitchen and then she stayed there and prepared the porridge.

Within some minutes, it was ready, the fire was really wild that is why it was done within some time. I helped her bring the pot down and she dished mine for me and I ate it for breakfast, it's been a while I ate village food like this, I felt every ounce of the deliciousness.

After eating, I needed to wash my pots she used to cook because it became dark due to the smoke, so I went outside and bought Klin detergent and Classic bathing soap so I could also take my bath with. I did the dishes and then took my bath and came online here on steemit to vote and comment on other people's contents before making my first post on steemit.

When I finished with steemit, I switched on my main phone and it was filled with message upon messages, I didn't even know where to start, hundreds of people showing interest in joining steemit, I had to just reply to the ones I could then began to make my promotional posts on facebook.

When I was done with that, it was already afternoon so I went outside to get myself something to snack on. I bought milo coco pops and that was what I took for my lunch, I just like taking junks in the afternoon, I don't even know if I am being weird or not.

When I came back inside my room, I was tired and stressed so I had to take my nap, the nap lasted for over 3 hours because I never slept the previous night to my taste, I slept for just 2 hours since I was busy attending to my new steemit intakes. When I woke up, I had to just go back and make sure I attended to everyone that needed my help before reading my books.

By 4pm, I went out strolling and when I came back by 5pm, my granny had already prepared okra soup with garri and when I came back she served me, this kind of baby treatment I am receiving from this woman, I love it anyways, I don't get to spend my money in anything at the moment, feels good to have a good granny.

After eating, I took my bath and when I came back again, she had already washed this fruit called 5 fingers in my local place, she had brought enough from the village and she handed some to me. I like this fruit to be very honest and I enjoyed taking it anyways.

When I finished taking the fruit, I allowed her to sleep before I started typing someone's sales copy else she would've asked why I was still on my phone. I was on the sales copy creation till 8pm then I was bored and tired.

When I wanted to rest the power holding gave us light so I turned on the television and started watching cartoon. I watched till 10pm then I decided to share my diary with everyone before going to bed. After this diary, I will be going to bed because sleep is really disturbing me.
