Hi everyone.., How are you guys doing? I trust you are good and you had a productive day at work today?. Just as we keep hoping and praying for success and progress in every of our endeavors or business, we must also accept the fact that some days may be bad in business where we may have low sales or low turn out.
For me, the Christmas season/break wasn't that good for me because of the nature of my business which has to do with students. As you keep reading, you will find out how bad business was for me on the stated date.
I run a cyber cafe business at the University of Uyo campus. As the nature of the business is, students are our major target as they are our major clients. So every holiday season use to be a bad blow to us and our business. This passed Christmas holiday was not different from every other as it affected the students turn out we usually have because students had started travelling back home for the holiday leaving the campus scanty.

I got to work that day and I was shocked at how empty the campus has become. Students and even some of my business colleagues didn't even wait for the official Christmas holiday break circular to be passed by the school management. So I just set up my stand and sat hopping for a good business day.
But I was disappointed as they were just few students in school and none was even coming to patronize me. I felt bad and discouraged and couldn't hold my face bright until one of my client came around with this troublesome brother of hers. Mehn...he changed the whole narrative as he engaged me with play and seeing of movie on phone.

The little kid kept me busy until my wife came around. Seeing how empty/scanty the campus was, my wife asked me to pack up let's go back home, which I did. On our way home, she asked that I followed her to get some tomatoes at a road side market.
After getting the tomatoes, we now boarded a tricycle and headed back home. By the time we got home, it was some minutes passed 6pm. While my wife was entering the compound, I had to stop by a nearby shop to buy a few cups of rice and other ingredients which we were going to prepare for dinner.
Immediately I was done buying, I took them to my wife. It was becoming dark, my wife immediately entered the kitchen to make us dinner. I was so hungry that I could no longer wait for my wife to finish preparing the dinner, so I started breaking some kennel to eat while waiting for the rice to be ready.

Not too long, the food was ready and my wife and I decided to do the old school way by eating the food in the pot because we both wanted to have a taste of those burnt part. When we were kids, we called those burnt food under the pot "scratch scratch"
After eaten, we both freshened up and retired for the day. Thank you for reading and I hope to read from you too.
