The Diary Game// Attending family meeting in the village//Sunday 29th June, 2025.
Sunday, June 29 was a day of productivity, family meeting and a dash of exhaustion. My day began early, with a morning devotion that set the tone for a purposeful day. I followed it up with some thorough cleaning - sweeping and mopping the floors - to get my home in order.
After freshening up with a brushing of my teeth, I called my barber to come over for a haircut. He arrived promptly at 8:15 am, and by 9 am, I was sporting a fresh new look. Feeling revitalized, I took a refreshing bath before warming up some delicious Afang soup and garri for breakfast.

With my belly full, I got dressed and ready for a family meeting in our village. Before hitting the road, I snapped a few photos in front of my house in Uyo, capturing the moment. The journey to my village was uneventful, but I arrived at my local government bus stop (Mkpat Enin) by 2 pm. From there, I hopped on a motorcycle and headed to my family compound at Ikot Ekpenyong.

The family meeting was brief but productive. We gathered at 3:10 pm, and by 5 pm, we had discussed and finalized plans to renovate our family house, a project that's been long overdue. We outlined a budget, estimated costs, and assigned tasks to each family member.

With a clear plan in place, we're aiming to complete the renovation by November, after the rainy season. As the meeting drew to a close, I bid farewell to my elderly ones and began my journey back to Uyo. I arrived home by 7:50 pm, feeling somewhat drained but satisfied with the day's accomplishments. A warm bath and a hearty serving of Afang soup with garri were the perfect way to unwind before calling it a day.
