Steem Cameroon Best day Contest - 6th June, 2025
Change is constant in life, people do say. But the painful part about change is the memories and people you leave behind. Throughout last week, I was battling with the emotions of letting go as I was about resigning from my job.
Before this amazing day, let's go back in time as to how we arrived here. In 2022, I was employed into an amazing institution. I met colleagues who turned to family over time. We chatted together, made a lot of memories together, moulded a lot of futures together too. It was an amazing experience for 3 years and 5 months.
I saw a lot of people come and go, colleagues who left an imprint in my life too and I know I never felt good but we wished ourselves goodbyes. Fast forward to 2025 and I was also about telling them goodbyes too. Telling my kids too was difficult but I did anyway. It is better they know than not knowing.
On this day I went to work, and had cool memories with the pupils, we all had a long chat and they wished me well. It was going to be my last day teaching them, though I was still working there for one more week but that was my last teaching day.
I appreciated the pupils for their listening ears and wrote a lot of letters to them, telling them how I felt. I also had a chat with my colleagues and we ate a nice lunch in school. The last part was pictures. And I just wanted to take pictures with my favourite colleagues - two of my best pals in school. They have been my close friends who had been of tremendous assistance to me whenever I needed their help.
These pictures were my favourite pictures of the day, I have been looking at these pictures and reminiscing on the wonderful memories I have had with them. This day reminds me of the love and care I have received in the last three years with them. I hope to see them in the nearest future. They have been best of friends and I was emotional taking photos with them once more.
I resteemed and upvoted the post.
I invite @ujunwa01, @onlyonefave and @perkysam to take part in this contest.
