Steem greetings @everyone, here i am again as it crisscross my mind due to the rapid clamatic change in the Northwest Region.

I will be talking about Global Warming, Causes and Effects Of Global Warming. I will urge you to please follow me kinely as I share with you about Glory Warming.

To begin with, What Is Global Warming?

Global Warming referes to the the proceeding increase in the earth's temperature as a result of thr greenhouse effect because of the increase in the level of carbondioxide and other source of pollutants in the air affecting the Ozone Layer.

Causes Of Global Warming.

(1) Agriculture. This is one of the greatest causes of global warming. Statistics have proben it produces percentage of 19-29% of total green greenhouse gas emission. However, this is caused by the high demand for food globally and in the world market due to increase in the worlds world's population. Methane is the biggest problem because it is 26 time stronger than carbondioxide. This is released from rice and livestock production.

(2) Vehicles. This increases the rate of Global Warming reason being the gas released from vehicles attacks the air adding CO2 carbondioxide. The world atlarge needs to advance in the automobile sectors and reduce carbon-fuel use.

(3) Offshore Drilling. This refers to the extraction of petroleum in rocks. However, a study by scientists from Princeton University found that extracting oil and natural gas in the North Sea released a lot more methane than previously estimated.

(4) Fracking. Fracking is the process of shooting high-pressure liquid into rocks and boreholes deep beneath the ground. This opens fissures for the extraction of oil or gas. There are many risks. If oil or gas wells aren’t sturdy, they can leak into groundwater. The fracking fluids are also toxic.

(5) Deforestation. It’s difficult to overestimate the importance of forests. They’re home to countless plant and animal species, they produce medicine and food, and they support millions of jobs. They’re also essential in combating global warming. When trees perform photosynthesis, they drink carbon dioxide from the air, store it, and release oxygen. Wood is made almost completely from carbon. When forests are destroyed, all that carbon is released. As of 2021, deforestation is responsible for less than 10% of the global warming pollution. This represents a decrease as people work to save forests, but it’s also because burning fossil fuels has increased, which cuts down on deforestation’s impact. There are many reasons why forests get destroyed, including agriculture, housing, and logging. Tropical deforestation is linked to the production of wood products, beef, soybeans, and palm oil. The loss of forests doesn’t only release greenhouse gases, it also affects biodiversity, soil erosion, and water cycles.

EFFECTS OF GLOBAL WARMING

(1) Increased Drought. Water is becoming scarcer in more regions. Droughts can stir destructive sand and dust storms that can move billions of tons of sand across continents. Deserts are expanding, reducing land for growing food. Many people now face the threat of not having enough water on a regular basis.

(2) Storms . Changes in temperature cause changes in rainfall. This results in more severe and frequent storms. They cause flooding and landslides, destroying homes and communities.

(3) Shortage In Food Supply. As the result of climatic changes, plants and crops dries off leading to farmine and hunger globally.

Conclusively, we can assist in preventing Global warming from the way we travel, the electricity we use and the food we eat.

Also, ating more vegetables, fruits, whole grains, legumes, nuts and seeds, and less meat and dairy, can significantly lower your environmental impact. Producing plant-based foods generally results in fewer greenhouse gas emissions and requires less energy, land and water.
