The Diary Game Season 3 [ Wednesday February 12th, 2025 ]

Your motivation is based on your interest in what you do. If you love what you do, you put all your energy into perfecting it and getting the best results. We try to do this every day without knowing. To start my day, I try to motivate myself.

It has been a long weekend for Cameroonians as a whole, as we celebrated the Nation Youth Day, yesterday 11 February. It is a nationwide event and is considered a public holiday. All Government Institutions are closed and youth have the opportunity to have a match parade. It has always been an exciting event in my region before the crisis. Today it is not the case as we stay home respecting the civil disobedience imposed on us. We want to have fun like every part of the country. I mention the long weekend because Monday automatically was a public holiday. Our constitution states at some point that a day between two public holidays is automatically a public holiday. Other public holidays, which are not on the calendar are decreased by the President of the republic.

When we back from the long weekend, I was up as usual as early as 4:30 am. After my activities, and helping to prepare the kids. I prepared myself and had my breakfast. My kids were done and waiting for me to drop them at school. I dropped them off at their school and left for my place of work. I was the first to be at the office, cleaning my dusty desk, setting up my workstation, and going through my weekly tasks. I start with pending tasks and priority urgent tasks.

I completed a client web project and bought the domain name. After configuring the DNS for the domain to point to our server where I will be hosting the project. I transferred the files and tested the project online to make sure we did not have any broken links. It was all fine, I shared the line with the client. He was okay with the concept but complained about the colors used. So I scheduled a meeting to give a reason for the colors we shared, and if he insists. As it always says the client is the king, so I will have to invert his design color.

Looks like the electricity suppliers decided to start a new program of taking off electricity after Midday. It was midday, the light was off and that was it. My colleague said he was hungry, and I was hungry, so I decided to join him for lunch. I had what we call Garri and Eru. It is a common meal to find in a local restaurant, and not that expensive. My food plus drink cost $4.5. I went back to the office, no lights.

It was time to pick up the kids from school. After dropping the kids home, I decided to have a short rest. I had a short sleep for about 20 minutes before coming back to the office. While having a chat with my colleague, a potential client walked in. He came to find out what it takes to register his company. We had a long session and my colleague who knows that domain headed the discussion. I picked a lot of things during the discussion and also learned. After the discussion, the guy was happy and decided to work with us.

It was close time, and light was not yet back. I decided to close for the day. On getting home, the light was back. I lay on the couch and went through my phone while chatting with a friend. It was late in the evening, I had my dinner while waiting for the Derby game between Everton and Liverpool.

As an Arsenal Fan, we hope to see Liverpool drop points to close the gap between us. So I prefer the match to any of the Champion League matches going on at the same time. I rooted for Everton and they were giving me joy to the point where Liverpool was leading two goals to one. That will mean Liverpool having a nine-point gap on top of the table. Fortunately for us, Everton was able to make a comeback in the extra time to share points with Liverpool. It was not what we wanted but it was a good result. It was after the match, I decided to go to bed and end my day.
