The Diary Game Season 3 [ Tuesday May 13th, 2025 ] In between hospitals and hustle commitment
Greetings Steemit friends
Now comes a period in your life when you begin to truly see the necessity of money. It’s difficult to assume that any amount of money is a huge sum. When you face financial problems, you begin to understand why some elders say, “Money is like liquid in the form of jelly, it slips through your fingers even when you have it in your hands.” Meaning, that by the time you recall you had money, it’s already gone, leaving you with a feeling of emptiness.
Today, I had to rush to the hospital to follow up on my mom’s situation. Thankfully, the surgery was successful, and she is responding to treatment perfectly. Due to the usual Monday ghost town, I was unable to visit her the previous day. I got up and prepared myself, and the kids were also ready for school. I first dropped the kids at school, then headed to my workplace. I needed to put some things in order and also collect some money before heading to the hospital.
When I got to the hospital, the doctor was already around for his routine checks. He checked on my mom, and everything was okay. Her surgical scar was healing without any complications. One important matter was the specimen that needed to be taken to the lab for analysis. For the past two days, I have not been able to lay my hands on it. So, I called the doctor’s attention to it, and he assured me that someone had already been assigned to take care of it.
To be sure the specimen was collected from the theater and sent to the lab, I went there myself to ask. They informed me it had already been sent to the lab, and that I needed to pay for the analysis. I paid the fee immediately. My next stop was the hospital pharmacy to buy the medications that would continue to be administered.
It’s challenging when you can not find all the required medications in the hospital pharmacy. You have to check other pharmacies outside the hospital. Sometimes, you will go around, checking three or four before you find what you’re looking for. That was the case today. The first pharmacy didn’t have it, but luckily, the second one did. I returned to the hospital and handed the medications over.
By then, it was already past midday. Time to pick up the kids from school. I was done with all the financial commitments for the day, and at that moment, I noticed I was completely empty. After paying for the specimen, the working kits, and the medications. I knocked my head gently and smiled. Then I left for the kids’ school.
I arrived on time. They were still in class, so I waited a while until it was time. I picked up my daughter and then my son. We rushed home because I had a meeting with a client. I returned to the office, and the day ended with me signing a new client. He needed a standard web project, and the initial deposit was made.
I closed earlier than usual because I was tired and hungry. I got home and, while chatting with my kids, I fell asleep on the couch. I only woke up later in the evening. I had a late dinner and watched a match on TV. After dinner, I took some time to revise with my daughter. They’re writing their end-of-year exams, so we reviewed some of what she had been studying.
Once we were done revising, I asked everyone to go to bed, and I retired for the night too.
Cheers
