My Application for Steem Representative & Booming 2025

Greeting
My interest is to serve the Steemit platform as a STEEM Representative for 2025. This is in response to the call for applications from the Steemitblog Post.

I am @fombae, and I joined Steemit in July 2020 with account ID 1,406,516. I had the opportunity to endorse the creation of the Steem Cameroon Community by engaging with the CRs at the time. Behind the scenes, we successfully established the community with the approval of the Steemit team. Since then, I have worked hard daily to build my reputation and that of my country's community.

Over time, I have grown from a reputation of 25 to 75 as of today and hold SP of over 23k. I have delegated my country community account and sponsor to the #SPUD4STEEM event.

I have also had the opportunity to mentor several Steemians, Cameroonians, and users from other nationalities. My journey on the platform has not only been educational but also enjoyable, as it has allowed me to develop personally. I have supported most of the initiatives introduced by the Steemit team, which has truly helped me grow on the platform.

I have served the Steemit platform in various capacities:

• Greeter Helper in the Newcomer Community
• Community Curator under the theme of Steem Growth
• Admin of the Steem Cameroon Community

As a Greeter Helper, I had the chance to guide, verify, and validate achievement entries, using that opportunity to help new users understand the platform better. Serving as a Community Curator was a valuable and enriching experience.

As Admin of Steem Cameroon, I put in my best efforts to maintain the integrity and reputation of the community. I ensure that every single post is free from abuse and aligns with Steemit standards. I'm also responsible for curating with the Steem Cameroon curating account and managing our weekly community posts.

Professionally, I am a Back-End Web Developer, skilled in PHP (Vanilla) and Python (Flask). I am fortunate to be one of the co-founders of the start-up IT company Quodatics.Inc., which provides web development and hosting services.

Why would I be a good Steem Representative?

I believe the most important quality is commitment, and that’s something I bring fully. With the experience I’ve gained over the years on this platform, I believe I’m well prepared to serve as a STEEM Representative. My dedication and the way I view the platform are not just a way to earn rewards. But a true social space has kept me consistently active throughout the years.

You can only enjoy the platform when you see it as a community, not just a job. As a Steem Representative, I will be available, engaged, and ready to drive initiatives that support growth and participation.

In terms of Booming support selection, I’ve already had experience carrying out this task as a community admin. Following the guidelines, I’ve ensured that no author receives more than two booming supports across all communities or submits posts already curated by the curating account. The community booming report can show evidence to my selections.

I can confidently say that Steem Cameroon has been one of the communities with the most even distribution of Booming support. Even with the relatively low participation of Cameroonians in the community, we have attracted a good number of foreign authors due to our transparency and fairness.

To conclude, I have always loved to serve on the platform. Thanks for the opportunity to have served on the platform in the past, and I will be happy if given a chance to serve in this capacity as Steem Representative. I promise to put in all and continue to give my best to grow the ecosystem.
