The Diary Game: Helping my Step Mother In The Farm And At Home||18/06/2025||

Hello, good day to you all my steemians,it is a great and a wonderful opportunity to help my Step Mother in the village,I hope so people had this opportunity some time ago in life, and helping old people is a blessing to evry young person.
It was a special day as I spend my day with her.in her residence in the village.

In the morning when I woke up from bed,I greeted my Step Mother, and she answered me and bless me as a mother, after I sweep all the environment and wash the dirty plates, after that she asked me to place help her go to the farm and harvest her dry corn in the farm because it is time for harvest in the village, which i hope it happens same in some parts of the world due to the time of planting.

So i accepted it and by 6 O'clock AM, I pick up my matchet and big bag and started moving to the farm,it a long distance farm and there is a Stream to cross before reaching the farm,so I was so busy to move that morning alone, and as i go along the road,a big animal cross the road,so i was so worried and kept going as a man.

After crossing this particular stream,the was not too far again,so I thank God that at least am closer to the farm,so when I reached the farm,I was happy that early morning,so I started cutting the corns that was dry and bad animal started eating it and destroyed them,so I cut the and make the farm to be clear and free so that others crop like cassava can do well.

After stacking the corns inside the bag,I was unable to carry it upon my head, there was no body to help me at that moment,so I struggle with it to carry it,it was like a drama in the farm as I finally carry it.

My afternoon was a different ballgame as I reached the house,I was so tired so I first of all I find fruit to eat before I can do anything, just to regain my strength,I drink the orange and Mango,it nice for me to have that refreshing moment,so after that,I wash my hands and find

what to eat before starting another work.
This time I was doing a different work,the target was to arranged the dry corn for preservation,it is a local method of preservation,in this method, one corn will be joined together,so I took time to joined them together,it to me 2 good hours to do that work,my Step Mother was so happy seeing these steps of work from morning till afternoon.
Doing this method of preservation is not an easy thing because you need to dry it before taking it to the final stage.
So I used the whole of the afternoon to finish joining them and dry it under the sun.

The evening time was also so another stressful kitchen, moment I went to the shop and buy some food stuff to cook Okro soup for my step mom and I, I bought these following ingredients at the shop and what was costly is fish and stock.
These were the ingredients:
• Okro
• Stock fish
• Fresh Pepper
• Onion
• vegetable Leaf
• Dry Fish
• Periwinkle

After buying them,I came to start prepping every of it for cooking,I wash everything one after the other and arranged them for final stage of cooking.

After the presentation,I went to the kitchen and set up fire,it village, they used firewood and be cooking,so who spend lives in the village will know this,so I put small water in the pot and started cooking, when the water boiled,I put the fish and stock Fish, cover it for some time, after that I put small oil before added all the ingredients except Periwinkle and vegetable Leaf,it takes another 3 minutes before I added the periwinkle

After everything,I put the vegetable Leaf last and turned the pot and dropped it down very fresh.
After that I cooked water for garri and by 6 O'clock pm, every thing was ready and I went out and take my bath before eating my dinner.
It was a delicious delicacy and i ate it
