The University Of Benin(UNIBEN) was brought to light in 1970, firstly as the Institute Of Technology and later on metamorphosed in 1971 into a full fledged university.

Overtime,UNIBEN has had significant and outstanding transformations, widening it's academic programs, research capabilities and infrastructural enhancement.In the present day,UNIBEN is acknowledged for it's zeal and commitment towards academic brilliance, innovation and community service contributions.

This prestigious university has two main campuses;

Uniben main campus:

This campus is located in ugbowo,Benin City,it consists of the university faculties, administrative offices and more than most of its academic programs.

Uniben college of medicine campus :

This campus is located in the pure heart of Benin City,Edo State.It is the home to the college of medicine and the University Of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH).
