The diary game (4/4/25)// How I spent my day
Good evening amazing people on STEEMIT, I bring you greetings from Nigeria my home country. Trusting you had a good day. I did as well and will like to share with you all how I spent mine.
I woke up at 7:30am, prayed with the kids and went to the kitchen. They were already singing 'mommy I'm hungry ' so I peeled and fried Irish potatoes with fried eggs and served them.
Quickly cleaned up the kitchen and washed the utensils used. Went to bath them and I fed the baby before having my breakfast.
Had to pacify the baby to sleep and he didn't want me to leave the bed, any attempts he starts crying and I have to pacify all over again. Time was going as I needed to do other chores, finally he slept off and I stylishly snicked out of the bed to the kitchen.
I bought some pineapples and water melon from the market yesterday, so today I extracted the juice using my manual juice extractor.
It took me time to extract the juice as I used a lot of energy infact I was lucky my husband was at home at that time so he helped me and that made me happy.
The juice was very sweet as the fruits were really ripe. I package it in plastic bottles and also some for my baby.
For the pineapple peels, I decided to boil it along with zobo leaves, cinnamon, cloves and mint leaves for another set of drink.
I allow it to cool down after boiling it and sieved out the chaffs and sweetened it with flavors and packaged.
And then my fears came to reality as they haven't restored light and I needed to refrigerate the drinks. I began to panic but my husband calmed me down and asked I called a friend. So I did and she said there's a place I can get iced blocks , so we quickly dressed, met her on the way and she took us there, bought the blocks and thanked her and came back home. I arranged the drinks in the freezer and added the blocks on top. I'm hopeful light will be restored at night so the cooling continues.
At this point I was really tired but quickly boiled some beans for dinner and garnished it with onions, oil and pepper and served with the juice and water for our dinner. We all enjoyed it.
Did the dishes, cleaned up the kitchen and went to bath and prepare for bed. Infact I typed this diary in a hurry as I wanted to sleep off early. This was how I spent my day. Thank you for reading. See you in my next blog. Shalom!
