The Diary Game [29/03/2025] // Running Errands in Town.
Steem greetings from the motherland-Cameroon @everyone and welcome to another session of my daily lifestyle. I had no plans to go out of my house on this day but it happened that my eldest sister called me and sent me money via mobile money to buy her non-sticky pots and send through the bus station.
I had planned to do that next week so that I could stay at home and complete most of my monthly office reports. Unfortunately, we experienced unannounced blackouts again early in the day. The worst of it is that we are clueless about what is happening and do not know when it will be over. We are often taken unaware, so I decided to go to town to run some errands while waiting for the blackout to be over.
I had to pass by a microfinance institution in town where I had an account to withdraw some cash to buy some food items in the house. This was the most unprofessional experience I ever had. I arrived at the microfinance company at about 9:20 AM because of my last experience I came at 8:00 AM and we were just informed of a change of opening time on Saturdays to 9:00 AM. To my greatest surprise, at 9:20 AM, the office was not yet fully opened for customers. I met a lot of customers infront of the company seated quietly and waiting. I asked the security guard why it was already 9:20 AM and the office was still closed to customers. His reply was what pissed me off. He said they can not operate until the manager comes and gives the go-ahead.

I decided to close the account because of a series of unprofessional threats which to me I see no future for the microfinance company. I went to the so-called manager's office to inquire about the procedure to close the account. I wrote a handwritten application requesting account closure. I had to withdraw all my money from the account and go elsewhere to create a new microfinance account.

I had an appointment with the shop owner I usually buy kitchen utensils from. She send me the set of pots available at her shop. I took a bike to her shop and we agreed on the price I would pay with a set of silicon cooking spoons. I made the payment but will collect the pots later. I had a lot to do for the day and could not carry the pots immediately.

I took a walk to our local food market to buy some food items. I bought a bunch of plantain and a basket of tomatoes at a very high cost because of the feast of Ramadan, sellers inflate prices for their own personal gain.

I returned home feeling exhausted already and to my greatest surprise, the blackout was still not yet over. I napped for almost an hour and decided to go to a nearby store to buy a carton of noodles and milk custard for my kids.

While at home, my kids requested I should prepare some of the noodles for them to eat as dinner. I did not hesitate as it will serve me time cooking. I had to cook eru, tomato sauce and rice and I happily arranged all the things into the fridge to be cooked the next day🤪. I prepared the noodles and fed them.

My husband is not around so I do not have to border to cook his own meal. I decided to go out and buy some cow intestine and lungs soya for myself. It's been a long time since I last ate soya. My kids do not like eating meat, so I had to buy a quantity for 1 person.

The evening hours were supper boring as electricity was back but my Starlink internet was restricted. I was so disappointed and frustrated at the same time because I had work to do online and no internet. My day ended prematurely as I took a warm bath and went to bed. Until my next diary session, I wish you all a fruitful Sunday and to my Muslim friends on Steemit a happy feast of Ramadan.

Saludos amiga
