The Diary Game [28/02/2025]// Attended My Cousin’s Wedding.

Steem greetings @everyone and welcome to my blog as I share my lifestyle content with you all. It was indeed a day of celebration for the family despite the trajectories of deaths recorded in the family. Before the unexpected happenings in the family, my cousin had already made preparations for his wedding.

Yesterday was the civil wedding at our council and due to work, I could not attend the civil and church wedding. My boss granted me permission for 1 day which I decided to use and attend the church wedding.

My day started very early as usual because I needed to prepare my kids for school. I had to prepare breakfast while my husband bath and dressed them up. We often share tasks to catch up with time. I had to feed them myself to ensure they ate well before leaving the house for school.

The church wedding was to start at 11:00 AM. I had to prepare lunch before leaving the house because my kids would return home when I was still at the wedding ceremony. I had some yams peeled, removed meat from the fridge and cooked porridge yams.

Then I prepared a curation guideline post for team 4 community curators for March 2025. I had to as well prepare the Google sheet for my team to use to fill in data for proper weekly reports.

Time was running fast and I was already late for the church service. I hurriedly bath my 1 year plus son and dressed him up. I equally hurriedly took a bath and dressed up and we were ready to leave the house. It was already almost midday and the scorching sun was out but I had no choice. I waited for a cab for almost 30 minutes before I could get one.

We arrived at the church when the service was ongoing. I was ushered to a seat though not comfortable but I could not complain because the church was full already.

It was time for the musical team to animate and ushered the pastor to the pulpit to pass the message to the couple and the guest.

I was expecting a sophisticated wedding given the fact that the groom my cousin was coming from America and also from an American army. But I was surprised to see his groomsmen poorly dressed. That was unusual and I could not hesitate to ask why. I was told he complained of not having money to lavish on the wedding. That was understandable but from what the groomsmen told me, they were poorly dressed because the groom did not support them to sew a better suit for the occasion. They spend what they could afford.

That aside, the sermon on the day was so good and straight to the point. The pastor talked about the institution of marriage. The Dos and don’t in marriage and he cautioned the couple to be prayerful because at times your physical strength cannot take you through the journey of marriage.

After the sermon, the couple were called up for the alma mater. The couple were asked to reside a message by the pastor. The church choir animated with a song that was also passing a message to the couple.

By the time they were called to say their vows and exchange their rings, my son was already uncomfortable and started crying. I could not continue to the reception. I could not wait for the service to be over.

It was 4:00 PM when the church service was over and everyone was moving to the reception hall at a different location, I booked a cab and returned home because my son was not comfortable with crowds and noise. The shouting and screaming in the church by the choir scared him.

We returned home and I was exhausted. I quickly heated food fed them and took a cold shower as the temperature was hot. Then I switched in the TV and started following the Cameroon Ballon d’Or 2024.

While watching the ball on d’Or, I decided to drop my content before starting curation with the SC06 account. Guys, it was indeed a busy day for me and until my next diary game, it is a good night from my end.
