The Diary Game [15/02/2025] // Soccer Weekend.

Steem greetings @everyone and welcome to my blog as I present my lifestyle content with you all. It was the weekend as usual and one of those days I wish not to get involved in any distressful activities. I woke up a bit late because I was feeling body pains.

I left the house early in the morning to buy some stuff for breakfast. I just realised there were no eggs at home, detergent to wash dirty dresses and my kids' snacks for school. It was a walk-through because there was a store in my neighbourhood where I could buy everything.

While on the road, I noticed the streets were almost empty. This was unusual as before on Saturdays, it seemed as if everyone was out. The harmattan dust is still not doing justice to us as everywhere is so dusty and we can't wait for March rains to wash away the dust.

I walked to the store bought all the things I needed and returned home. I put the things in the fridge and soaked dirty dresses with the detergent. I prepared breakfast and fed the kids. After feeding the kids, it was time to wash the dirty dresses I soaked.

By the time I was done washing the dresses, it was time to start watching the soccer games of the English Premier League. I started watching the game between Arsenal and Leicester. My husband is an Arsenal fan and he had returned from work to watch the game at home. We were discussing while watching the game. It ended well in Arsenal’s favour and the fans were so happy. For me, I watch the games for entertainment and do not have any particular team I support. But when a team play well, I support them fully to win. Watching the games was also a good moment to get some snacks for myself. This made the games more interesting hehehehe.

After the Arsenal game, I started watching the Manchester City versus Newcastle game. The citizens were so happy as the team played well and were leading 3:0 in the first 45 minutes of the game. I left the house again to buy huckleberry from roadside vendors.

It was rush hour but not as busy as it used to be. I saw a fresh huckleberry from a roadside vendor who was just returning from the farm. I bought the required quantity I needed though at an expensive price. This season, huckleberry is usually expensive because of the dry season.

I walked back home and had to select the huckleberry, separating the hard stems from the leaves and the soft stems. While arranging it, I continued watching the Manchester City game.

After the game, I had to prepare dinner for the family. I had to fry some ripe plantains to be eaten with ndole. It was easy for me to prepare the meal as the ndole was already cooked and frozen. I served dinner for everyone and we all enjoyed the meal.

While we were eating, we continued watching the game between Everton versus Crystal Palace.

It was a weekend as never before with the number of games I watched. It was a more relaxed weekend and I wish to always spend my weekends feeling more relaxed. I continued watching the soccer games of the Italian Serie A between Napoli and Lazio.
