The Diary Game: 6-06-25 || Attending a Wedding Ceremony, Business meeting and Purchasing items using Steem as payment
Friday morning talking about me while I'm making money. I woke up to find myself in the crypto market chart. Steem price reduced due to the word battle between Trump and Elon. I was shocked to see Bitcoin reached $100k when I was asleep. But thank God, the market was favourable yesterday. There was a serious bounce off in the market, making it move parabolically after the dump but we're yet to experience more of these.

Morning Activities |

Morning came, and I rose up from my bed to wash my face and also did my chores. After making sure everything was neat and clean, I took to preparing for the wedding ceremony since I was part of the groomsmen. Before they did, I did what was on my routine. I'm to learn photography every day by snapping at least one picture on a daily basis.

Prior to this, I captured a wall clock for the Steemit contest in Italy. This contest gave a prompt of snapping a wall clock showing different times of the day. It's intriguing to note that the picture came out well as I added a little touch of creativity as I took it to the sky. I wanted to learn balance in photography, like balancing angles when capturing photos.
Moving on, I went to get my clothes from the laundry, which I gave a few days back to be washed, starched and ironed. This is a picture of me and my clothes in the laundry. After getting my clothes from the laundry, I took to styling my hair for the event. I visited my hairstylist to give me the perfect cut. I edited my coursemate's photos while enjoying the cut. I also checked the market for any slight moves or changes as I was on a couple of trades.

The expense for cutting and styling my hair was | 500 naira only | 2.4 steems |

I left the salon in no time and headed home, as I was already running out of time. My skincare routine can never be overlooked. Despite the fact that time wasn't really on my side, I prioritised my skincare routine. 2 days back, I bought Face masks, medicated soap and face wipes from @judelsuper who collected SBD as a means of payment. I sent 4 SBD, as I couldn't convert to STEEM at the moment. What I bought wasn't up to 4sbd, so he kept the balance with him for another purchase I'll make during the week.
Face wipes | 1800 naira | 8.6 |
---|---|---|
Face mask | 1000 naira | 4.8 |
Medicated soap | 600 naira | 2.9 |
Total | 3400 | 16.3 |

4SBD was about 30 steems at the time of the transaction. 30 steems in Nigeria's currency is 6000 naira. So I had a balance of 2600 naira from the 4SBD. These were the skincare products I purchased 2 days back. This is the transaction receipt in SBD or STEEM.

Applying these one at a time was a problem. I just wished I could just do it all at once, as I didn't want to miss this morning routine. I started off with using tomatoes to scrub my face. Tomatoes help in giving the skin or face a brighter look. After applying tomatoes, I switched to using the medicated soap to wash my face and dry it off with the face wipes.

The mask was to be worn for 15-20 minutes. I placed it on my face and ensured the bubbles were gone and it was tightly fitted to my face. I allowed the mask on my face for 20 minutes before removing it. You needed to see how I was glowing. I washed it off and dried my face with a clean rag. That was how my morning routine ended. It was time to leave for the reception.

I got dressed, ate my food, and off I was on the road, looking for a vehicle to take me to the meeting point. I boarded a vehicle that charged me #200 naira to the place groomsmen were supposed to meet. It was in the house of the bride, as the bride's brother was also the groomsman.
The house I entered was much like a museum where artefacts and original manuscripts are kept. Jeezzzzzzzz......I saw a pendulum clock for the first time. I've never seen a pendulum clock before, as this was used in times past. How could I be so demure about this? I also saw an ancient radio, the loudest of its time. I heard if you had this radio then, you must have been wealthy because only a few could afford this radio. It's their ability to preserve all these things for me.

In no time, we left for the reception as one of my lecturers At the university I'm schooling at, which is a friend to the groom, took us there with his car. We didn't have to pay extra expenses to get this done. On arriving at the venue, we got our caps, which we paid for and placed on our heads. It made more sense with the white material. We took pictures as groomsmen to oppress the bridal train.
Arriving the wedding venue |

We were warmly welcomed and offered food and drinks before the ceremony, as it would be impossible to get such during the ceremony. I ate to my satisfaction. @emishael60 did the honours of capturing me. I was grateful for what he did, as no one would be so devoted to do such. After eating, we took photographs, creating hilarious styles.

It was time for the wedding to kickstart properly. The groom came out with his bride in the hotel they were in. I was marred by her beauty. See a beautiful bride. I couldn't help myself but capture her with my phone. The groom was adamant, as he felt everything should be done in an hour. So to him, he was behind time and didn't want to take unnecessary pictures. Guests were seated in the venue, waiting for the couple to march in. The DJ gave us real beats.... We took the groom and his groomsmen to his seat while the bride came with her train and maid of honour.
The DJ didn't do justice to the song he gave the groom and his groomsmen but he did justice to the bride and her train girls. They danced and shamed everywhere. Their moves were just perfect. You needed to see how energetic the wife was. The MC did justice in following the programme, which later led to the cutting of the cake. One of my favourite songs was played. I was literally in the spirit while videoing the whole scene. After all was said and done, which words would fail me if I narrate? The party ended with songs that made everyone shake their bodies. The presence of @ngoenyi, @fortwis09, @wizzyboy3 and @benton3 were noticed. I took pictures with them sef. @alli001, @kidi40 and @emishael60 came on board.
I was literally on stage as the hypeman. I danced as if I was the one being wed. Didn't just want my time to waste. I maximised every opportunity I had. I even made friends with the DJ who offered me a job of videoing him anytime he has events.
A business meeting with my client |
---|
In no time, I left the venue for a sit-out where I met a business partner and we discussed certain things. He actually needed help from me on certain things. So he took it upon himself to entertain me with Sharwama and malt while he took chips and Star radler. He's not a fan of pictures and didn't want to appear on camera. So I just had to take pictures of myself. We stayed till 7 pm still conversing until the conversation ended.

We both parted ways and I journeyed back to my hometown. I stopped by Judel Supermarket to purchase deodorants and some facial cleansers. Since he accepts steems with the username @judelsuper, I made a transfer of 23 steems to him for the purchase, coupled with the balance of the earlier said sbd. I made a purchase of;
- Body spray
- Facial cleanser and
- Soap

This is the receipt he gave me, totalling everything I bought. He was grateful for such an opportunity to be acquiring steem coins as a form of investment. I got back home so tired, refusing to do any other thing. I slept off till the following morning.
