Designed with Canva Pro
For World Braille Day: Draw a Mascot.
In honor of World Braille Day, I made this mascot. This is a symbol of happiness and spreads a powerful message. I decided to design it as a friendly book. Learning and gaining knowledge is a very important things for us. The book is an important way to gain knowledge and the Braille dots on the book are very important for blind people. Braille is not just a reading technique, it’s an attempt to make this world a little easier, more beautiful for the people with visual impairment. My mascot smile looks like he is welcoming the people with visual impairments to be part of us, our society is open and accessible, we can include everybody.
Give a short understanding of Braille and accessibility.
It's Me with My Braille Day's Mascot |
---|
World Braille Day brings us two very important things: Braille and Accessibility. Blind people read by touching small dots. It helps to teach and inform blind people. Braille is more than only a reading method. It is an idea to help bring equal rights and chances to all. It also opens doors of education, and knowledge for the blind people and make us responsible and sensitive to the others.
Accessibility is leveling the playing fields for those who can’t see, can’t hear, or have physical disability. It’s all of the things that provides a ramp to a wheelchair user, subtitles for those with hearing defects and Braille books for those who are blind. Focusing on accessibility, is a way to equalize equal opportunities and equal rights among all people.
Break Down the mascot into Four Parts.
Explain Each Part.
Now i will Break Down the mascot into Four Parts. I will explain the four parts information.
Body:
Its body resembles a book and its meaning knowledge. The Braille dots on the book are show how important learning is for blind people.
Face:
This mascot’s smily face displays the idea of accessibility. It tells people with disabilities that they should have the same opportunities like everyone else, and we can all support each other.
Hands and Gestures:
The raised up hands of the mascot show help and cooperation. We can create equal opportunities for anyone. It shows that with Braille, technology, and other such tools we can do it.
Background and Environment:
A white cane, a wheelchair, Braille Book is the setting where the mascot stands and shows the importance of accessibility. The message it sends to society is that society should treat everyone equally and should be supportive of those needs.

Awww!! This is a beautiful work, I'm thrilled to read through your post about Braille for the physically challenged persons, how they use it to captivate all the wordings and sentences is my most amazing wonderment I never can fathom out. I'm still in awe how the blinds use Braille to study and read all the fields in human endeavour. The Authors and the Originators of this magical book are genius I ever admire. And to you your mascot looks great, your sketches show you are familiar with this design. I really appreciate your invite. Keep winning
