JESUS THE GENTLE

Ever since the time of Adam and Eve in Paradise, humans have a tendency towards pride and self assertiveness. In today's scripture, Christ instructs us to think in a new way. He himself was the prototype of gentleness and lowliness.

(Matt.5:5).

No one was as noble and mighty and at the same time as humble as Jesus: He entered Jerusalem on a donkey and washed the feet of his disciples. Is gentleness was not weakness in any way but the essence of strength. "God bless us who realize their need for him" is a command for humbleness towards God. Gentleness is a sign of commitment it is the direct opposite of greediness the "givers" as opposed to the "takers".

Lord Jesus let me follow your example and wash the feet of others instead of getting them to wash mine
