Explanation

---

Painting is one of my favorite hobbies. I truly enjoy painting. Whenever I see any painting, drawing, or craft contest, I always try my best to participate in them.

Tea is one of my favorite beverages. After seeing this contest, I decided to paint a tea cup. Without further delay, I grabbed my painting tools and got started. Now, I will share with you how I painted the tea cup. Let’s begin!

Step 01

	Start to draw

First, I used a pen and a ruler to draw a rectangular shape on a white paper. Then, I added a slanted line at the bottom and created a few small boxes in a diagonal pattern.

Step 02

	Tea cup drawing

Next, I drew a simple tea cup outline. Once the drawing was complete, I started painting. For the painting, I used acrylic colors.

Step 03

Color of bottom side

First, I started coloring the boxes at the bottom. I tried to create a combination of red, blue, and yellow for this part.

Step 04

	Using black color

Then, I painted the top area black and added thin horizontal black strokes at the bottom to make it look like the tea cup is placed on a table. I also used black paint to create a border under the tea cup.

Step 05

Painted the tea cup

Next, I painted the tea cup. I started by lightly adding white strokes around the edges. For the lower part of the cup, I used a combination of red and white to depict the tea.

Step 06

To create the effect of steam rising from the hot tea, I used white paint and added soft, scattered strokes above the tea cup. Now, it looks like steam is gently rising from the cup of hot tea.

Step 07

Now, I will design and write "Cup of Tea" at the top in white color.

	Selfie with my painting

The tea cup painting is now complete. Finally, I captured a selfie with my painting.
