Mabuhay #SaturdayMemories Community! I am very pleased to have joined your community. Thanks to @olga.maslievich for the success of this community. This is my first post here and my entry to this contest on its 5th week. Thank you @keyryalle for inviting me to join this contest.

I would like to share our first time to wander in Camotes Island, Philippines with @mackoy02 and his cousins. Indeed, we were astonished by its beauty, fresh air, and crystal waters. We had a great escape from the bustle of the city. We spent 3 days roaming around the island. Before that, we prepared everything ahead especially our food. Since it's a budget journey, we prepared vegetable lumpia the night before the trip.

Excited as we were, we prepared our things and traveled from our place early around 4:30 AM for our scheduled trip via fast craft was at 6:00 AM. It was a 2-hour trip from the city.

Our 1st day was a tour inclusive of our booked package. Our first stop was at Buho Rock, Poro, Cebu, a famous destination for cliff diving on the island. Unfortunately, since there's no coast guard at that time, we were not able to have the diving experience. Well, if you want to experience what we have not, check this link for the location. https://www.google.com/maps/place/Buho+Rock+Resort/@10.6285114,124.3991911,17z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m5!3m4!1s0x33a82cb87497edc5:0xa3c72e5531097aae!8m2!3d10.6285114!4d124.4013798)

We didn't spend much time in that place for we wanted to make the most out of our Camotes Island Experience. The next stop was at Amazing Island Cave and Beach Resort in San Francisco, Cebu. All of us were delighted to have our very first cave experience.

For safety purposes, we were required to wear a life jacket upon entering the cave. We were amazed how pristine and cold was the water in the cave. We can even see our feet dipped in the water clearly even from afar. The cave was just as amazing as its name. So, check this out at https://www.google.com/maps/place/Amazing+Island+Cave+and+Beach+Resort/@10.6476026,124.3027429,17z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m5!3m4!1s0x33a832c695c14f5f:0x1de2c7fa5cf31ed6!8m2!3d10.6475973!4d124.3049316

Well, our trip for that day didn't end there. Our next adventure was at Lake Danao, San Francisco Cebu

As you can see in the picture, Lake Danao was known for its paddle boating and ziplining adventure. We only tried paddle boating since it was so hot to use a zip line at that time. Paddle boating was really a fun adventure and also, it was one of the firsts that we've tried in the island. We toured around the lake by paddling the boat while rotating its "steering wheel". At first, we had a hard time controlling the boat yet later, we discovered that TEAMWORK IS THE KEY from the starting point until we reached our target location and vice versa. I hope you can try this one too. Here is the link of the location: https://www.google.com/maps/place/Lake+Danao/@10.6752804,124.3243684,14z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m5!3m4!1s0x33a82d9ad2daeb61:0xf43d57825b8d647c!8m2!3d10.674756!4d124.3449153

Our 1st day in paradise was not yet over. Now, I would like to introduce to you my favorite part of the escapade- snorkeling at Tulang Diot Island, San Francisco, Cebu. Honestly, I don't know how to swim so during that moment I was a little bit nervous yet was so much thrilled to try for the first time snorkeling in the vast seas of Camotes Island.

God's creation is a masterpiece. Under the sea, I've seen a school of fishes, a seahorse, a jellyfish, a clownfish (I have seen Nemo from the movie Finding Nemo :D ), and a lot of sea creatures which I've seen in the movies except for sharks of course. The depth of the ocean had given me goosebumps plus it's quite challenging for me because swimming is not my thing. So, I can say, "The struggle is real" during that time. Nevertheless, it is a must-try in the island. So, if you are a sea lover or an enthusiast in trying new things, refer to this location: https://www.google.com/maps/place/Tulang+Diot+Beach/@10.7138929,124.3254341,17z/data=!4m12!1m6!3m5!1s0x33a831e9aef6ef7d:0xf408ddc593183f34!2sTulang+Diot+Beach!8m2!3d10.7138929!4d124.3254341!3m4!1s0x33a831e9aef6ef7d:0xf408ddc593183f34!8m2!3d10.7138929!4d124.3254341.

Actually, if you want me to talk about our escapade in Camotes Island, well, I can tell you the whole day. Since it's worth sharing, I want to post it on my next blog. Anyway, thank you for reading. I hope you enjoy it and you are engaged to visit this paradise, Camotes Island. Really, it is a place which you are going to be in love with. Carpe diem everyone! :) :)
