Experience Traveling By Local Train For The First Time
Assalamu Alaikum steemian travel luxury dear friends. Hope you all are well. Today I will share a travel blog with you. I love train travel. So I planned to travel by train this mild winter morning. Since there is less time between busy days, I planned to go to Dhaka from Mirzapur city. A train journey is much more comfortable and pleasant on a mild winter morning. Enjoying the view of nature from the train window in the cold air and feeling the light sun or the sweet cool breeze is a completely different feeling. The sound of the slow moving train and the surrounding greenery or the view of the village bring peace of mind. So I went directly to our Mirzapur railway station.
We went to the train station and waited for the train. The train will leave Mirzapur at 8:21 AM for Kamalapur Railway Station. So we were waiting for the train. Waiting for the train was an exciting experience for me as I was ready to start the journey. Hearing the rumble of the train, slowly seeing the scenery and finally getting on it all created a kind of excitement. So suddenly the train whistle sounded and the train came I took a picture of the train coming.

We had to buy our tickets the moment the train arrived. So we booked tickets from Mirzapur to Kamalapur railway station. I was accompanied by my cousin who had originally gone to purchase tickets. So at this moment we finished purchasing our tickets and the train came and stopped for a while. So I quickly got inside the train. After finding our own seat number and compartment number inside the train, we sat on our seat and noticed above that there are two fans on each side.
The fans are currently off as it is currently winter. But after a few days the hot weather will come so that time the fan will turn. A little later the tickets will be checked so we took our own tickets. You can see our ticket name is written till Mirzapur to Kamalapur railway station.
We sat in Shobhan Class seats and our journey was 71 kms. The name of the train we were traveling in was Sirajganj Express. My seat number was seat number 50 of compartment C.

The ticket rules section contains the conditions of travel, cancellation policy, refund rules and emergency instructions that passengers need to know. Many times the ticket rules act as legal terms to resolve any issues between the passengers and the railway authorities. So the front of the ticket usually had the date of journey, destination, price etc.
written on it and the back part was used to give the necessary instructions so that no extra paper was needed. I was sitting in a nice seat with a window next to it. So I was enjoying this trip. This is my second train journey in my life. Basically it is a local train. I wanted to see what the local train journey was like.
I visited the inside of the train to see what other facilities there are inside the train. I went forward and after a while I looked out. It was nice to have a nice breeze outside. There are some rooms on the left side of the train, these rooms are basically VIP rooms. But in the morning the rooms were locked due to lack of VIP person. I wandered through those rooms for a while. Then I stood in front of those rooms and took a selfie.
Then I saw a toilet on the right side. Which is basically a train public toilet. I was inside the train because I had to pee. The train toilets had commode, normal, washbasin, tissue and water facilities. Usually there was a ventilation system inside the toilet for adequate air movement.
However, cleanliness is not the same in all trains, so I think it is better for passengers to carry personal tissue or sanitizer to maintain their hygiene. So when I went out, there was a sign in front of the toilet Avoid using the toilet while in the train station, I saw it and took a picture.
I was standing in front of the train door on a mild winter morning. The air is a bit cold but refreshing. As the train moved, the wind hit my face like an invisible touch. I took out the phone. As soon as I turned on the camera, I felt like I was capturing the moment, not just videoing. The trees, the government buildings next to it, sometimes some people, everything seemed to come alive on the screen.
I didn't realize how much time passed by while I was standing at the door of the train enjoying the nature outside. Gradually, the familiar signs of Kamalapur railway station began to be seen, the big train shed, signal lights and busy platforms. A little further from the station, I saw the railway crossing. The iron gate was lowered when the train arrived, but now it is open and people are pouring in. Some are crossing the line in a hurry and some are walking slowly. On one side a man is carrying a basket of fruits and on the other side a mother is crossing holding her little boy tightly.
As the train has reached its final destination now we have to get off. As the train pulled into the station, I stepped down from the side of the door. I felt the solid texture of the platform under my feet. There is a commotion around, some are running to catch the train, some are dragging their luggage and some are busy on their phones after getting off the train. I saw a man standing next to me with a luggage trolley, he might be a passenger. Goods are mainly carried outside this station with this trolley. I took a selfie with my cousin on the way out.
A little further from the station, I stood in front of the railway crossing. A few more trains started arriving one by one, some trains were moving towards the station, some trains were leaving Dhaka and running towards new destinations.
The sunlight shimmered on the steel rails and the grinding of the train wheels sounded like a familiar tune. I stood for a while and saw a train slowly disappearing in the far horizon another train came with new passengers. Just as life does not stop, the train does not stop and does not stop at its own speed.

Today's train journey is a very memorable day of my life. Because I got to see what kind of experience it is in the local train. I was able to learn a lot by seeing how people travel in local trains, how people live their day and there are some employees inside the train who go about their daily activities. I saw the main station building outside the train station, it was a very strange building. From there I went to our destination and stood in front of the station on a road which was surrounded by roads.

I really enjoyed today's train journey. Local trains have a specialty where many stories of life are mixed. During the journey, a gentleman sitting in the next seat was looking out of the window quietly, a group of friends in front were chatting and a mother was holding a small child in her lap and telling her not to do any mischief. As the train moved on, it passed through empty village roads, crop fields, and small markets.
New passengers were stopping at some stations, some in a hurry, some slowly. Through the window, I saw local shopkeepers selling jalmuri, nuts and tea at some stations. Once upon a time it seemed that this simple environment was a place of real happiness. So I have shared this train journey with you, hope you all will like it.
