The diary game [ May 22, 2025 ] Repairing My Motorcycle At Langgt's
still under construction and I have to wait
This morning the air was quite cool and the traffic was still not too heavy. I took the time to take my motorbike to my regular repair shop that I usually trust for maintenance and service. For the past few days I have felt the motorbike's performance has decreased slightly, and the electrical system such as the lights and starter feels less than optimal. So I decided to do routine service and check the electrical system of my motorbike.
Upon arrival at the workshop, I was immediately greeted by a mechanic who was already quite familiar with me. Without waiting long, my motorbike was immediately handled. The mechanic did a thorough check starting from the oil, brake pads to the electrical system. After being checked, it turned out that the battery section did need to be serviced and it took a little time to complete everything. I decided to wait in the available seat while observing the activities around my regular workshop.
Time passed slowly and almost half an hour passed without realizing it. While waiting, I had a casual chat with another mechanic who was working on another customer's motorbike. This casual chat made time feel faster, and finally my motorbike was serviced. I was satisfied with the results because the motorbike felt lighter again and the lights were brighter than before.
After everything was done, I immediately went to the cashier and paid the service fee which I thought was quite affordable. When I was about to get ready to go home, I heard the Dzuhur call to prayer echoing from the nearest mosque. The calm sound of the call to prayer made me stop for a moment. I decided to fulfill my obligations first before continuing my journey home.
finally ready and I immediately went home and didn't forget to perform my prayers
I walked to the small mosque near the workshop. The calm and cool atmosphere of the mosque provided inner peace after morning activities. After finishing the Dzuhur prayer in congregation, I returned to the workshop to pick up my motorbike and continued my journey home with a calmer heart.
Even though today I only filled it with simple activities such as servicing my motorbike and performing the Dzuhur prayer, everything felt meaningful. There is a sense of gratitude for being able to take care of the vehicle that accompanies my daily life and not forgetting to take the time to get closer to Allah SWT in the midst of my busyness. And today taught me that goodness can come from small and simple things of course.
