Westfield Mall, Woden, Keltie Street, Canberra, Australia

Coles Woden in Canberra is my favorite grocery shop. Situated on Level 2, Located near The Butcher Shop at Lower Ground is my favorite for yet another reason. The Keltie Car Park is just outside of this grocery store so we don't have to walk long with the grocery trolley.

 

In India, I do not hesitate to take pictures of shops even if I do it hiding the camera in between my palms but in Australia, I avoid taking pictures so I selected the time when most shops were closed but only the grocery shops remained open until 8.30 pm.

I have traveled here by bus, bike, on foot and of course by car as it's about 2 km from my residence by road and if walk or bike the distance is reduced to about one kilometer as I walk or ride bike through Eddison Park.

I have traveled by bus to this mall as the Woden Bus Interchange is located adjacent to Westfield which gives access to various locations including my favorite Canberra cricket stadium.

As I said there are thousands of shops and stores besides shops in the galleries selling food, phones and whatnot.

This mall center has four large shopping chains, David Jones, Big W, Coles and Woolworths, and more than 250 other retail, leisure, and dining outlets besides thousands of small businesses.

I reached Weston Mall at about 6 in the evening so the underground parking lot was empty which remains jam-packed during business hours and finding parking is not easy. I climbed to the ground floor to reach Coles, The entire mall looked isolated because all the shops were closed. I prefer Coles to Woolworths even though Woolworths has similar items at almost the same prizes.

I passed through butchers' shops which were closed but the vegetable shops were open and of course, a few eateries were open but about to close down for the day. So what was available at this time was "The Fresh Food Market" and Hoyts the 8-screen cinema complex.

I entered the Coles and as expected there were too few customers so it didn't take much to pick up the items, pay and leave.

The opening hours of Westfield Mall where Coles along with thousands of other shops and chains of other famous stores are located.

Monday to Thursday 9:00am – 5:30pm
Fri 9:00am – 9:00pm
Sat 9:00am – 5:00pm
Sun 10:00am – 4:00pm

Westfield Woden offers two hours of free parking, once per day only and car parks can be accessed from the different streets and directions.

Car Parking is free for first two hours.
