Tour in Ibom Hotel & Golf Resort, Uyo with my Family
Have you seen luxury in disguise before? It's one of the luxurious hotel in my City, formally labelled as a 5-star hotel. I never knew such an hotel exist until I went for a tour with my family. It was a family trip though my dad didn't come. Was too busy to attend. If someone in Uyo tells you he or she doesn't know this hotel, don't blame or judge him immediately. He may be right.
The hotel is in a rather reserved place. Only those who wants quality and serenity finds it. We were given an invitation to explore the hotel and its rooms and also spend a night there. Damn. This was the best thing that could ever happen to me. Let me tell you about the hotel from scratch.

Sometimes the name of a hotel is attached to something and not just an ordinary name as the case may be. Ibom Hotel is gotten from the word IBOM in AKWA IBOM, Nigeria. This hotel is located deep down at the edge of our state. It's the most expensive hotel in my City and has this serene environment where you can find pleasure forgetting your problems.
Ask those who visited there to gist you on how the place is. You'll be amazed by the wonderful world this hotel creates in the minds and heart of people who visit there. You can be broke and visit there because even bottle water is enough to feed you for a day. I'll be reviewing some facilities I entered during the tour and how impactful the tour was. Let's start with the entrance
Exterior Entrance |
---|
The entrance to Ibom hotel is just like travelling your way to paradise. It will take you close to 2 minutes before you reach the gate and close to 2 minutes before you reach the main hotel. It's as far as if you're trekking which seems weird but with a vehicle, you can easily migrate your way down there in 4 minutes from the entrance to the gate to the hotel.

My mom booked a bolt which would convey us from where we are living to the hotel itself. From my place to this hotel was charge of 5000 naira in total which is 26.3 steems. We paid through transfer but he had to pass the entrance and alight us at the hotel. This hotel has no entry fee though the driver would be given a tally to return back to avoid stolen vehicles issues.

At the entrance stood well armed soldiers who are fierce and ever alert to security threats. They checked us in case we were armed before allowing us in. The driver drove us in to the hotel where we saw paradise in a hidden place. The place isn't that popular and reserved for influential people. The luxury makes well-to-do people go there often.
Ohkay we alighted from the vehicle to the most serene environment ever. I could feel evaporation from the green grasses to the atmosphere. I felt everything here was home. The trees, grasses, solar lights, aisle, park chairs, beautiful lawns for golf, flowers and everything green. Let's move over to the surroundings.

Serene Environment |
---|
When you're looking for a Serene place to relax your mind, meditate and pour out all your problems to the fields and skies, I think this hotel has those views you need that's capable of mental transformation. Unlike other hotels that are situated along the road side and you can even see people's houses, this hotel is far from that. You turn left and right to seen nature. Nature grows with you..
The environment is as spacious as a whole village. I wonder how much money was spent to acquire this property. The fields can be used for gatherings, get-together and wedding ceremonies but it is as valuable as using event halls. To hire the field for an event costs about 600k which is 3157 steems. It's actually worth it because no field in my city is as green and beautiful as this.
Nature park seats are stationed at most corners in case you're tired of journeying through the fields to see creatures, domestic animals and a fountain. I can't forget this day. This hotel has everything you need. You just need money to spend. Moving on, let's look at the Hotel interior Entrance. Before looking at the interior, I'll be listing all the facilities there.

Let's start with the checkpoint area because that's a facility you'll be pin for 2 minutes before taking your luggage in. In the room, there's a machine that scans your luggage to the other side in detection of harmful objects. Our bags were scanned before we were scanned as well in a house. You'll enter the small kiosk or house and then wait till the sound says yes. If it gives alarming sound, you are a culprit. This is the nature of the checkpoint.

It's their door for me because it detects movements and automatically opens when one gets near the door. Security guards are stationed by the entrance in case of any attacks of any sort. We moved in from the aisle to the receptionist desk. You need to see what happened there.
Receptionist Desk and Receiving Space |
---|
The receptionist desk is where the receptionist attends to all those who come to book rooms or tick reservations in the hotel. With our bags, we went to the receptionist area to tell them of our reservations in terms of tour. They told us if we needed a tour guide, it would cost a sum of 5000 naira which is 26.3 steems. We objected that we would need to pay for a tour guide as the tour guide is already paid to take us round.

We were given a glass of chilled Zobo drink to refresh our mind. Such a welcoming hotel. I've never received such a hospitality In a hotel before. The receptionist desk has a long list of rooms and their prizes for those who wants to book. The least room there is 200k per night.
You can also book flights in that hotel. How broad can this be?. Cool. The tour guide took our bags and led us to the rooms to start our tour. Let me talk about the rooms area.
Hotel Rooms |
---|
The rooms are stationed up and down with a capacity of over 100 rooms with one room facing the other. The view is mindful to be honest. We were taken to the executive rooms upstairs before taken to the classic rooms downstairs. We used an elevator to get up there as the steps may be tiring to climb. This is their elevator, actively working to move individuals up and down with fast momentum.

On getting to the executive rooms area, we were given a particular number that is vacant to tour round before checking other facilities. The walkways of the room area are so stunning that I captured every light, view and carpets seen.. The tour guide used an access card to gain entrance to one of the executive rooms. Damn, you need to see luxury.
The artworks alone expresses an enticing picture of how beautiful the room is. The executive room is so spacious that it can accommodate a gathering of more than 15 people as the case may be. The interiors and beddings are so beautiful and the lights placed on top, isn't white light but one that reduces the intensity of light entering one's eyes. ...

---|
There's a reading table and lamp at the corner of the room with a linked room WiFi. You receive this WiFi password whenever you book a room. That's it. It also have a television set, fridge that's pocket sized and stacked with drinks, dressing room and wardrobe.
The overflow of the room is behind a heavy curtain that helps you view nature yourself. You just slide the curtains and all you see it nature. You can stay outside the balcony and receive fresh air if you so wish. Before moving to the bathroom area, I'll talk about the classic rooms downstairs as we checked one of them.
The classic rooms stationed downstairs looks more compelling as the executive rooms just a little difference in the outlook and special treatments given those in executive rooms as to feeding, movement and other recreational areas. There are two beds separate from each other which is one disadvantage of the classic rooms. The beds aren't joint but the views and everything are just so perfect.
Toilets |
---|
In the executive rooms, Jacuzzi is used with a bathtub and an automatic water system toilet they flushes once there's a detection of movements. The shaving mirrors and the set ups in the toilet and bathroom makes it even more unique compared to other executive rooms I've visited in other hotels.

I captured everything in the toilet including their towels and soaps. I even made use of them to do spa for myself. You can see me enjoying the light that radiates from this bathroom with my towel on my head and a soapy face. The floor of the bathroom can never be wet because once water touches it, it dries up immediately as if it's evaporating.
Everyday, tissues and soaps are supplied to each rooms to replace if it's not available or if it's exhausted. The exclusiveness of the bathroom catches my attention so bad. Moving on.... Let's go to the fountain and poolside.
Fountain and Pool Side |
---|
The fountain and poolside is located beside the hotel by the right if you're going out of the hotel and by the left if you're coming in. We followed the tour guide through the elevator to the fountain area which you'll have to pass the sitting room in a transparent glass door. It was raining. Damn, you need to feel nature by the fountain area. I could breathe fresh air. It was as if my mind was transforming because the serenity is just top-notch. Imagine people whose rooms are close to the fountain at night. You can make a proposal, dream wild dreams and even forget your problems.
There's a stretcher by the fountain area with an umbrella where people can sit and drink coffee. I was literally in paradise. With an umbrella, we visited the poolside and bar which is opposite the poolside. The pool is way larger than all the pools I've seen in most hotels and from the tour guide, it has a depth of 9 feet. Wow. One can perform some swimming aerobics in this pool as it's wide and long enough to swim and even go beneath the water.
poolside
If it were to me alone, I would have swim. We then moved to the sitting room to warm ourselves from the cold outside. I seriously don't know whether they turned on that the whole room was so warm as if there was a fire somewhere. I didn't feel that cold inside me again. I sat on their arm chairs with my eyes fixated on the television set as a match was ongoing. After sitting for a while, the tour guide took us to see the museum and gym.

Museum and Gym |
---|
In my mind, I was saying that the tour guide has really tried in touring us this long. He was social and funny. He made the whole tour so interesting when when we acted crazy at some point. Moving to the museum, we were told not to outrightly take pictures. Just one or two was enough to avoid being queried if caught.
The museum has lot of artifacts and modelling that caught my attention. My eyes gazed at every ancient books, gold necklaces and stones of value. The gym is a few meters from the museum, still in that same aisle.
We got the gym and behold, it was both upstairs and downstairs. The way it is structured with standardized workout equipment and machines with dumbbells made me say YES to this hotel. It would still be one of a kind I've ever seen. I took pictures of the gym and imagined I was in this place doing some workout programmes. It felt much like home.

Dinning Room |
---|
The dinning room is situated at the far left of the sitting room with buffet style. Their buffet is #18k in naira and in steem. This dinning hall is decorated as if one is coming for a date. It's all in red with beautiful table covers. The rule of the buffet is that you can't share buffet and that you'll serve yourself. You're to eat whatever you want to eat to your satisfaction but you're not to take it out of the dinning hall or come with food pouch.
Different kinds of food, drinks, fruits and vegetables are kept for everyone to serve themselves. These are example of foods I'm talking about.

You can choose to spend the whole day eating as much as you don't take reserves. In my mind I was like, if this kind of opportunity presents itself, I'll eat the whole day and sleep in the toilet the whole night. Come and see balanced diet. Moving on......
The Golf Lawns |
---|
It's a notable place for playing golf and has a finely trimmed lawn for this purpose. No one is allowed to enter the golf lawn. It's either you use the walkways on the fields or you use the field itself, far apart from the golf lawn. Penalities involved in entering the golf lawns unauthorized is a charge of 5000 naira, not negotiable.
Penalty for entering the golf lawns to take pictures unauthorised | 5000 naira | 25.6 steems |

If I'm to go further, the post would be very lengthy and I want to avoid such so as to keep my readers active and not tired out reading through. If you're in Uyo and you've not visited this hotel before, you really need to do so.
The experience of nature alone can capsulate your entire mind and body. It has a place called Marina. This is an entirely different segment in the hotel, still an extension. I won't talk much on this in this particular post. I'll do so in another as I was strictly after the hotel.
Become an icon by visiting this beautiful hotel. You can forget all your problems just by spending a week or month here.
Visit them virtually by clicking on their website to take a reservation before arriving there physically.
