Electronics Project: I started with the 555 Timer IC and circuit components.

Assalamualaikum, everyone. I am @imranhassan from #Bangladesh

How are you all? I hope everyone is well and healthy by the grace of Allah. Today I am sharing with you some real parts. For those of us who love electronics, each part, like a resistor, capacitor, diode, IC, or LED, can be the beginning of a big dream. I have been wanting to make a real project for a long time, in which I will use the famous 555 Timer IC.

I have researched this IC for a long time and have made circuit diagrams in the past. Now I am trying to make many types of creative circuits using this IC, such as an LED blinker, timer device, alarm circuit, etc. I started this journey by buying some basic parts — and I want to share every step of this journey with you.

Shopping experience from Dhaka Gulistan, Kaptan market.

Our Gulistan Kaptan Bazar in Dhaka is the heart of electronics lovers and a unique place. Entering one shop after another here, it feels like we have come to a genuine technology bazaar. The shops are lined with parts, boards, cables, controllers and all the materials available at the touch of your hand that can make every little dream come true. The only thing you will find hot is device modules and parts, and the shops are all small, but the business here is all over Bangladesh. I have bought some useful things by bargaining, with the help of the shopkeeper and with my own experience, and I am mentioning them to you below.

I am describing the parts I bought here with each picture.
IC 555

Here is the main hero of my project — the 555 Timer IC. I also took some auxiliary ICs for other purposes. If I have to involve them in my projects, I will use them.

Breadboard
image.png

If you are making any fit circuit and working on any project, then you should first use this breadboard as a perfect medium to form a circuit without any solder, and if there is any problem, you can immediately remove it and re-attach it.

Connection Wire
image.png

These coloured jumper wires are essential for breadboard or project connections. Without these jumper wires, you cannot draw connection lines, and these, again, create some problems with the breadboard. That is why I have collected some different wires, which I will show you through another tutorial post.

Ceramic Capacitor
image.png

This is a very small capacitor, used for filtering and timing purposes. 555 Timer IC is used for projects.

Color LED
image.png

These LED lights are small, large and of different colours. I will use them as signals or indicators in various experimental projects.

Potentiometer (Variable Resistance)
image.png

It is used to adjust the timing or control the light after making any circuit project. A very useful component.

Electrolytic Capacitor
image.png

These capacitors are very useful for projects. The value of the capacitor and its time are used in timing and filtering.

Diode
image.png

You cannot make any project without this diode because it is used to block the current from the opposite direction so that it does not cause problems in the circuit and does not discharge the charge. It is useful in saving the circuit from wrong connections.

Transistor (547, 557)
image.png

These two transistors are very dear to me, and I am very familiar with them. They work as signal amplifiers or switches. I will make some control circuits with them.

Variable Resistance (Trim Pot)
image.png

These are very small resistances, and their function is very useful in resistance control, which is very important for experimental control.

Digital Multimeter
image.png

I bought this meter new. I have used many meters before, and a few days ago I bought a meter of the same category, but my daughter broke it using it as a toy, and I bought this one again. It is for measuring voltage, current, resistance, etc. It will be needed in every test.

Pushbutton and MOSFET
image.png

Here are some switches which are for turning the circuit on and off and some MOSFETs which I bought to get a fixed 5 volts and 12 volts output, which will be very useful for my IC 555 project.

12 Volt Power Supply
image.png

I had a power supply before, and with that power supply, I made a tester to check with LED chips. Now I will need a power supply to make a project again, so I have made this circuit separately.

Regulator
image.png

This regulator will be used to supply voltage. I bought it for a 220-volt AC small fan. My mother uses a fan, and its power cannot be reduced. If I connect this regulator, my mother will be able to reduce and increase the speed of the fan as per her choice.

Bright LED
image.png

These LED lights are used to provide strong light, especially in house lights. People who know me as an electrician in my area give me their used lights, and I fix them and install the parts.

LED Light Circuit
image.png

Here you can see some circuits. I bought these to repair lights. I said earlier I bought some LEDs, which I fix when the light in the area is broken. I bought these circuits for someone to use in the same way some light circuits get broken and some light SMD LEDs get broken, so I have to keep the circuit and the light together.

Battery Charging Display
image.png

Display to monitor battery voltage. I bought this for a friend of mine who drives an auto rickshaw, and he does not understand his battery level properly for his benefit.

All the Parts Together
image.png

These are my dream tools I have put together for the convenience of the next work. And I thank the Steemit platform for supporting my work, and they are supporting me. I work tirelessly; I am doing a lot of research to make tutorial posts. I am learning myself and trying to teach others too.

My daughter plays with parts
image.png

The biggest inspiration is my daughter playing with my parts with interest ❤️ Whenever I do any electrical and electronics parts and repairs, she is by my side playing with my tools, and when I change one tool and take another tool, I have to ask her to take it from me because she is always mischievous with these tools of mine. She takes it as her game, but I don't let her come near my table because I work with current, so I keep her away with my tools so that she can't come towards me, and I can also work safely.
