Why I Think We Must Focus On Post Quality But Not Steem Reward Manna

in Steem Ghana4 years ago (edited)

Steemit platform is genuine and generous saaaite that rewards many contents with Steem manna.

I would say Steem tokens are gifts because most of undeserved contents may even get little for their efforts. That's freedom we live with Steem! Should we base on Steem generosity and share any contents which are irrelevant to the consumption of our readers? I think this is absolutely No ! The Authenticity, credibility, our integrity and genuineness are something we cannot ignored as Steem Bloggers. The proof of brain with creativity and sanity of work is what we must always embrace if we really want to maintain our standards and status quo.

Lately, it has come to my notice upon checking various posts that come to our Community and I need to quickly prompt the community and address this issues irrelevant information to the Steemit block posted here. There is the need to curtail too much chaff, shoddy work and eagerness for reward but little input. All these do not help the growth of a Community.

Very soon I would be leaving polite and gentle comments below posts which fall under those categories. This is not to scare or find faults on posts, but just to remind us to do the right for fair rewards of Steem Manna from our generous Curators.

what really determines posts quality?

  • Posts editing

From the stand point of the title of the post, body, conclusion, tags, pictures, videos markdowns and all things that make readers admires posts must be correctly edited before posting. One should not rush or be in haste to post for rewards whiles the post isn't filtered or sieved the chaff and mistakes.

Remember that, any post left on the blocks get into the hands of millions of bloggers, that is why we must check all these things.

  • The size of post is something that contribute greatly to the post quality.

Even though we can be precise and concised with our contents that we share. Steem isn't like other platforms of justing sharing greetings like: "Hi, good morning and one sentence and leave." Actually we are being rewarded so we must put much effort in our contents we share.

  • Good Titling of our posts.

In situations where are title doesn't match with what we say on the maid contents of the posts would not attract any much rewards expected. Apart from the Diary Game in Steem and My town in 10 pics which follow the same pattern of title any other chosen title must be well checked.

  • Good use of Markdowns determines post quality.

Some text which emphasize on points must be "highlighted" with the highlight Markdown to make your readers see what you want to illustrate. Where to bold, center, italized, draw table must all be considered in your post.

  • Correct tagging is very relevant to our posts we share to Steemit blog.

We have said it often that never tag our Curators for they can follow the appropriate tags on Steem and get reach to your post, so why do your continuously tagging them?

Some Steemians also use tags which do not even have merit on their posts. Some also do not edit their tags after writing, so the wording of the tags look separated.

Why should we focus on quality but not Steem reward Manna?

Good effort comes with great reward, so the reward from Steem will come by itself when you have done a good job. Though, we have some ideology that with the current situation of work the reward is to whom you know or who knows you! But, the reality is that good or genuine works are sometimes never escape without receiving reward.

I must emphasize here that the Steem reward Manna will even look for you if you do a great job by employing all the things discussed here as the instruments for quality posts.

Never chase the Curators to come and upvote on your post, but rather focus on sharing quality contents and one day you will be catched up somewhere no matter where you are hidden.

I think you may take this work piece as food for thought.

Thanks for your Attention!
