Hello Everyone,

My day today was a very productive one. I mentioned a while ago that I've been working with a team to prepare for a pilot project. All documentation has been approved and the project is already underway.

A planned schedule to collect data from 5 surrounding communities was drawn and set in motion today. Our focus was on Tankuna Community in Navrongo. Our data point focuses on Sanitation and waste, Water Access Points, Health, Education, and Flood History.

We utilized ODK Collect App from KoboCollect to collect data from the field. This was my first time using the application in the field but the test had already been done so it was a cool slide. Navigating the application isn't hard and sure anyone can handle it with just a few minutes of tutoring.

I partnered with 2 other gentlemen to take one side of the community. It was fun once we began as this was a new environment for all of us on board.

We got to introduce ourselves and interact with natives of the community to provide us with data. Though most were welcoming, others wouldn't give information unless they had something in return. Some didn't like the idea of images of their surroundings being taken

We worked for 3 hours straight, taking little rest in between. We were still enthused to continue even when we had to call it a day due to the level of exhaustion of some team members.

All teams met at a converging point to analyze the findings for the day and also refresh ourselves from the hard day's work. This is what I call, work and happiness.

My day ended as the team dispersed. I felt so tired after washing down and went to sleep right away.
