RE: Unboxing and First-Use Review, Gardenia GD601 Electric Tiller

I agree with you, everything should be used till it's impossible to be fix and here's another one... the modern items can hardly be fixes because the parts are not available. How can the buyer change that if he's forced to buy new even if it can be repaired? And next the big businesses start registration what their clients buy and count their CO2 whatever while at the same time producing and selling trash and of course trying to sell it.

I did my share of gardening today, it'was a bit of dark day after rain. Let's see if the sun will shine after I finished most of the hard work.

A great evening!

That is true as well.
I had to find a mechanic who makes custom parts to fix the last item that broke.

So, still a bit cheaper than the new stuff, but not if I count the time spent and the transport costs :)))
In the last years I've been fixing more and more stuff myself, this is also good for the brain, keeping it in shape as often out-of-the-box solutions are the only solutions :)))

Same with the house repairs. It's getting harder and harder to find the right persons for the job and it always costs a fortune for every repair.

Have a great evening yourself as well! :)

House repairs I do as much myself. They always try to fool me, same for the car and the job is done badly. Shitty work I can do myself.

The lack of skills will be a huge problem in the nearest future. I always tried to repair things myself. If it's broke I can only win. The first thing I repaired was my record player.😁

So true!!!
It seems there isn't big of a difference in Western and Eastern Europe, feels the same :)

I guess when AI finally overtakes the majority of the soft-skill-jobs, there will be more people who would do quality tasks with their own hands.

I think I am going into that direction, given I double the time I spend in the garden this year :D

Have a great one! :)

The major difference is the price of manual labour services.
A friend from the UK told me he's been quoted for GPB 5,000 for the installation of small home kitchen.

I know some services cost x10 compared to the poorer counties on our continent.

Yup, I agree, the standard of living within Europe is quite different. Still.
Probably one day those discrepancy will hopefully decrease! ;)

Truth is, such discrepancies will always exist.
Probably the game will never be fair, if I may use this word.
Those are just the basis of the modern economy.
One for all and all for one, only in the fairy-tales.
Divide and conquer is how this world works, not to my liking.

Well, unfortunately, you seem to be right about that.

Especially if judging by the news they feed us on mainstream media every evening :)

Yup, I don't like that either, but a fact is a fact.

I tend to spend less and less time on mainstream media.

You can't do quality tasks if you don't have the skill, are used someone else is solving the issue. I believe that's what is meant. Before we learned skills form parents, grandparents, today we learn nothing.

I doubt you will find many skilled people in Western Europe. What they ask for now is workers, no longer brains. Not that there are many brains left today, the education is getting worse and worse and if AI takes over soon no one knows how to read, calculate and so on. Analfabetism increases rapidly.

Enjoy the weekend!

I like to do many things, repairs included, with my own hands and almost every time and task I need to learn something new. That's right, I don't go to special school or read books about it, usually everything I need I find online somewhere. But that still counts as learning, right :)))

I agree, totally, education is getting worse everywhere. Probably there are one or two countries that are exception to that, but as we say here, this just confirms the case ;)

Have a great Sunday! :)

You learn if you figured out something. No school needed for that, it's a rather new institution. It was always normal to learn from others by watching or simply trying out yourself. If you ask me these are the intelligent people with creative brains. The online world can be very helpful. After a long search I found some tricks and solutions and at times not but it helped to think into a different way to solve the problem my self.

If you ask me the low educations is done purposely. I notice in many countries they do exactly the same and teacher are by far not motivated. Who knows it's meant to let AI teach and push that trough to brainwash more children than they already do... last step.. after steering with 5 G is a chip in the brain.

A great start of the week!

I agree.
The political "elite" doesn't need smart and educated voters. They just need a mass of low educated people to buy their crap :) And vote just because they are told so by their local leaders.

Also, the business "elite" doesn't need expensive workers.
I am sure that a worldwide research is placed, it will reveal that the so called "middle class" is smaller and smaller everywhere, if it exists at all.

Each country - 1-5% very rich and then the rest is barely surviving the increased cost of living.

Well educated people are much harder to enslave as they adapt better and won't work for minimal wages, while the mass will just take whatever job opportunity exists, no matter what.

Our world is currently ruled by people who are too greedy, for money and power and that won't end well. Not quite different from the past centuries, either :)

Phew, I'm stopping here :)))

Have a great day yourself :)
