PENCIL DRAWING: A PORTRAIT OF MY FACE

This is exactly how I look . For most of you that know me in person. You can attest to the fact that I'm not lying.

So, in this week's pencil drawing competition, I decided that I was either going to make a portrait of my face or something simpler . Because I was already running out of time.
However, I decided to go with the choice of making a drawing of my face. And it was successful.
Maybe next week, I'll try drawing a steemian. It might be you reading this😁😂
This was gotten from a sample which I took with the Snapchat app.
I've drop it for comparison at the end of the post.

So let's get to business

How I made the art.

First, I'll start by listing the items and tools that I used, then step-by-step progress of the drawing will also be shown and explained. Stay tuned.

1	A4 paper
2	HB pencil
3	2B pencil
4	Eraser
5	Sharpener

STEPS

In this clip, I made faint sketches, which I used the HB pencil to make sure of that.
If you've been going through some of my post, you might have seen the reason I like drawing faint sketches first, before thickening it with the 2B pencil. It's so Incase of any mistake,
I'll be able to erase it without causing the work to look dirty.

In this clip I did the facial outline of the nose , mouth, lips and other face entity

Here after shading and detailing the lips, eyes etc, I moved on to the hair.

I usually use my finger to blend the lead pencil on the drawing to make it smooth and look real.
Just like you've seen.
I was already through with the hair.
This was the complete outcome just before adding my username and watermark.
