RE: Color and Light : An appreciation of our colorful world

in WORLD OF XPILAR3 years ago (edited)

Hi Erik, that is great exercise, it reminded me in the school art classes, when we see the final version of object and can recognize different colours, like violet in blue and darker part of red but also green in yellow, that gives that magic that appears. The person who has no idea about Art and how to use the benefits of colours will be fascinated with that. But if we start from beginning we can see how simple and boring it is to have just one colour or even only two shades of the same colour.

Beautifully presented, enjoyed it :)

Means a lot coming from you! Indeed, it is basically an "art school" recap. I feel like I spent a long time looking for a shortcut to painting believable color and light but in the end, even for me after over 10 years, I am still coming back to basic studies to learn more. It's a never ending cycle really. Learn a little, try to apply it, get frustrated, go back to basics and repeat... I'm still having fun. The cyclical nature of practice is a relief in some ways, all we need to do is apply ourselves over time.

Yes, agree with you, when you are saying cyclical I catch myself that time to time I need some time off and not to do anything, but then return with new energy and wiling to restart and get better :)
