Luckily nowadays the severity of COVID is eased off and people even if they have then do not require admission to hospital or intensive care. You are right there are a lot of debate both about vaccines and drugs, on other hand the best way if prevention with simple stuff like face masks and avoiding the crowd. I am vaccinated but still very careful and still wear masks, that also contributed to stay away from ordinary cold. Maybe that is something we all have to think about common sense and use one measurement or another depending on situation.
