RE: From Big Dreams to Bigger Responsibilities...

Hi sbamsoneu,

Thank you so much for your take/questions/opinions on this. To be honest I wasn't planning on writing on this particular topic but one thing led to another... And that's how I landed on this particular issue. By the way, did you read bambuka's comments on this?

You will get a new perception on this. It may answer some of your questions.
So far the topic of conversation has led to:

Roles of Men and Women

If you ask for my personal opinion, I believe it’s all about balance. There are undeniably masculine and feminine roles in a household—why deny that? Each has its own strengths, and instead of trying to redefine or swap them entirely, why not embrace and maximize them?

That doesn’t mean rigidity or limitation; rather, it’s about complementing each other’s abilities. Strength doesn’t just mean physical labor, and nurturing isn’t exclusive to women. A well-functioning household is one where responsibilities are shared based on capability, mutual respect, and understanding, rather than just tradition or societal expectations.

At the end of the day, it's not about assigning strict roles but about finding harmony in how things work best for each family.

I hope that helps :)
