Consolidating On What People Cannot Take Away From You
There are many unpredictable things of life, which includes the possibility of things changing. There are things that can be taken from you; like material possession, job, social status, etc. But there are other things that cannot be taken from you; like your skill. If you have a particular skill in a field, no matter how anyone tries, they cannot take away that skill from you because it is within you. For example; if someone give you fish, it can be taken away from you, but if you have skill in fishing, then you can have fish as you want, and no one can take the skill away from you. Here, we shall be taking a look at what cannot be taken away from you, which you should consolidate more on.

The first one, like I briefly pointed out, is your skill. Skills are part of what empower you to stay relevant in life. This is because it enables you to solve problems and to create solutions. Unlike material possession that can be lost, when you are skillful, no matter how people try, they cannot take it away from you. The skill can come in various ways; it could be technical skills like programming, data analysis, graphic design, etc, it can also come from other fields. You have to sharpen and focus more on your skills in order to increase your value and your net worth. The more you work on your skills, the more relevant and valuable you become. More so, skills can open the door to a whole lot of opportunities that you may not even know exist. So try to acquire and work on your skill.
Another area that you need to consolidate on, which cannot be taken away from you, is your mindset. It is true that people might influence the way you think, but you solely own your mindset. Your mindset is what determines how you relate to the world around you - the way you respond to changes and challenges, and the way you reason. Whatever happens, do not allow anything or anyone to force you to think negatively. You need to work on and consolidate on your mind so as to take control of what you think, and to allow only positive thoughts. When you realign your mindset to focus on optimism, dedication, perseverance, persistence, and solution-driven, you will become practically unstoppable.
In addition to your mindset, you also need to consolidate on your character. There is nothing that defines the real you like your character. It is not just what you show when eyes are looking at you, but what you also exhibit in the hidden - when no one is looking at you. Your character is embedded right into your person, and forms who you are. When you build up a good character, even in the midst of the cruelty in the world, you will still maintain your goodness. Even if someone tries to spread falsehood about you, your character will still speak for you. You will agree with me that there is a kind of allegation that can be brought against someone and everyone will refute it because they know the person's character to be good.

The next aspect that you need to consolidate on, which cannot be taken away from you is your knowledge. The more you gather knowledge, the more you become in control of life and the future. Your knowledge remains right within you; in your mind, where it cannot be stolen. People may not like the kind of knowledge that you possess, but they cannot take it away from you. Continually learning and acquiring knowledge is the pathway to remaining relevant in the world that is full of insane competition. Knowledge does not mean just getting formal education, it cuts across informal learning too. Anytime you increase in knowledge and learning, you are building yourself, not just to adapt to the present but for the future.
The last aspect of yourself that you should work on is your work ethics. This includes your hard work, dedication, and resilience. It is hard work that makes successful people. Success does not just come by wishes, but by hard work. The more hardworking you are, the better you position yourself for success. When you build your work ethics, it will make you outstanding and successful.
