A Morning of Peace While Hanging a Show While Remodeling a Gallery

I spent most of the daylight hours this week working at the local Art Association. It’s going through a major volunteer-led remodeling, and at the same time, setting up for it’s annual (New York) statewide juried exhibition, which opens this Saturday. Here is a sneak peak of the downstairs gallery where Rose and I hung up a bunch of clay faces while Tim and Tommy installed track lighting over the unfinished floor that needs to be finished in 48 hours.
Wednesday I broke free and painted in blissful contentment.
The joy of man’s desiring. Barring tragedy or the loss of unconditional love, everything else is bunk.
It is a great mystery and power that the paintings create different feelings and thoughts for everyone. If I had painted such a painting, I would like to hear that it reveals what kind of emotions and thoughts in people. Maybe I'm just too curious 😅
Volunteer work is an intense feeling that includes a mixture of peace, happiness and excitement and it is very special. Good luck 🌷

We had the opening for the exhibition last night. The gallery wasn’t quite yet finishd, however the paintings were hung!
