Always be generous -My creative writing

It was a normal day when Jeff was walking through a park on his way back home from school with his friends Robert and Lily. Just when they were about to reach home they had to go through a sketchy alley.

At first they thought of going through path, but that would take too long. Jeff told his friends that nothing would happen and that they would be fine. Robert and Lily were skeptical but they agreed. Half way through the alley they found a blind kid sitting on the bench sobbing.

Lily and Robert didn’t want to talk to him but Jeff asked him what was the problem. The kid told Jeff that his name was Peter and he was blind since he was 3 years old. Jeff was shocked and asked Peter where his parents were. Peter told him that his mother was in the hospital and his dad passed away in a car accident when Peter was only 7. The walking stick Peter had was broken. He told Jeff that his mother was unable to work and that Peter didn’t have enough money to pay for his mom’s surgery. Jeff felt bad for him. That night Jeff couldn’t sleep. He couldn’t stop thinking about Peter. Jeff said to himself : “I have to help Peter in some way”. The next morning Jeff told his parents about what happened and they supported him. Jeff’s parents gave him some money to buy Peter a new walking stick and they also gave Jeff the money for Peter’s mother’s surgery (since Jeff’s parents are wealthy). That day after school, Jeff went to a shop and bought Peter a brand new walking stick. He gave it to Peter along with the money.

Peter was very grateful and thanked Jeff. That night Jeff slept tight knowing he helped someone in need. A few years go bye and Jeff had to move cities. He studied well and eventually by the time he is 25 he applied for a job. The day of the interview Jeff was very nervous. He thought: “what if the interviewer didn’t like me” or: “What if I answer a question incorrectly.” When Jeff reached the building he was even more nervous. Jeff made it just in time as when he entered the waiting room his name was called . Jeff went into the room and thought he recognised the interviewer but he couldn’t put his finger on it. Jeff introduced himself and just when Jeff did the interviewer jumped up from his seat and hugged Jeff.

Jeff was confused. The interviewer(seeing the confused look on Jeff’s face)said : “It’s me Peter!” It took a second for Jeff to realise but when he did Jeff was shocked(and confused). He asked : “Peter? How did your eyes get fixed?” Peter explained : “When you gave me that walking stick and money all these years ago it helped me so much because when I was crossing the street with my walking stick a lady stopped me and offered me to join her school for blind people cost free! I instantly agreed and before you know it I’m studying hard! One day an eye doctor came to school and fixed the eyes of all of the students. I continued to study very hard until I got into the position I am in now. So that one gift you gave me all those years ago helped me to become this successful.” Jeff was astonished. He couldn’t believe what he just heard. Peter gave Jeff the job and they became good friends.
