RE: 💦 Leaking Roof

in WORLD OF XPILARlast year

I advise you to stop counting bad luck, otherwise you will have to invent new and new mathematical theories. In fact, this is part of normal life, especially if you have your own house with a yard. Every time I do something, I notice new things that need to be done, and it never ends. Even in the new apartment, where we have made repairs, but have not yet moved in, the faucet at the water inlet to the apartment failed. To repair it, you need to shut off the water to the entire house, remove the water meter, and for this you need to call someone to unseal it, etc. Such things never end.

I can be proud of you, you climbed on the roof despite the fact that you are afraid of heights :)

It never ends. There's always something... even when you think that you've caught up! I remember watching a property programme... it was either Sarah Beeny or Kirstie Allsopp who said that you should expect to spend 1% of the value of your home on maintenance each year. I think they were wise words 🙂
