SC-S24W2 || Landscapes
I remember in my school year during one of the practical, our fine art teacher told us to make a landscape drawing. That was the first time I come across drawings though am not a professional like others. To make it more unique he ask all of us to arrange our sit outside the classroom and draw whatever we see.
At first it's was complicated to do that type of drawing as one thing I find it hard to draw is tree and tree leaves. But to my surprise after many attempts, I accepted the challenge and I did it. This particular landscape reminds me of that. Going through what people had done so far....to be honest I give up as I feel I won't be able to compete with them.
But at last I come into conclusion that after all there's nothing to lose. I have beautiful drawing from @@@ and I will be like.....I wish I can do the same. But I realized that we get different skill and talent to do something. So I decided to try this one out. Let see what I will be able to present today.
Landscape drawing has to do with drawing that shows the land to the sky. It can be when capturing a street, city, river, cliff, and so on. The common example of how I learn about landscape is: stand in the middle of your street, what can you see? Okay the good thing is that you can use your phone to snap the picture then you might consider drawing.
To me I don't have professional material to use but I make use of the ones within me. Some of the materials I use are:
- Plain jotter
- Black pen
- Blue pen
- Bottle water cover
Procedure steps by step
Okay here we go again in drawing, my first thing I do is marking my drawing first, this includes sketching first. I made a Sketch on my paper, sketching something that looks like cliff and river.
I also sketch a tree, then use a bottle water cover to draw half circle representing a sun. I also draw a house and some trees beside it ( All in sketching mode)

On the upper side of the half circle, I Sketch also some creature bird specifically, and also a boat in the river.
I began tracing on my sketching, firstly, I started with the tree, I traced on the tree, the ground and down to the river.
I move on to the next side of the drawing, I traced on the house and the tree beside it. I traced on the river, the boat and the sun followed by the bird in the sky.
This way I can actually see how my drawings will looks like afterwards. Drawing with pen might be difficult especially when it comes to making corrections and this sketching and tracing is my best way of creativity.
Shading: this is the main importance aspect of drawing, in this case I started my shading with the tree, I shaded the trunk and the leaves. Next I shaded the sides of the cliff. I shaded the river with deep shade by side and light shades in the middle.
I also shades the roof of the house, the trees beside it. It only the sky I left unshaded.
Look like I have already gotten what I wanted, I cross-check every details in it and it looks perfect. A drawing without a title is useless and it will be hard to understand. To avoid that I write my drawing title and take a my last picture with a selfie.
That's how I come up with this, sound easy or complicated? What do you think? What method do you prefer when drawing? Which material is your favourite tools? I prefer pen be it red, blue or black. What about you?
Thank you for taking time to see through this, I might be the best I put more effort to achieve this. It take me 3 days because of my work to find time for this. That's by the way....what do you think about this contest @emishael60, @joymm, @crypto-pie. I called this a challenge, let's play.
