"One image, one story"
Hello my dear all friends, this is @mamun123456 from bangladesh.Today's image was, at first glance, incredible. If I'm to be completely honest, when I saw the image for the competition, my heart sunk.
A picture of a hospital? It was so quiet? This was a new experience. Initially, it appeared uneventful or simply a scene out of a hospital; as I continued to look, it felt like there was so much more to it.
My eyes were first caught by the things in front of me. Rows of equipment, shiny, made of steel. How frighteningly beautiful! Scissors, tweezers, and so many more I don’t even know the names of them all.
Under the neon lights, a different kind of light was emanating from them. It seemed like they were all sitting silently, ready for some great task. Just think, these tiny scissors, how many times human bodies have been cut and reattached with them. Each of these machines might have a story attached to it, how many lives have started anew with their touch! Their silence was giving me a thorn in my side.
It seemed to me that if they could talk, they would tell stories from so many days ago – stories of fighting so many difficult diseases, stories of bringing life back from the brink of death many times. They were like silent warriors.
Then I saw the back of the picture. Two vague shadows. It was clear that they were two people, maybe doctors or nurses. Their hands in green clothes were very busy. Their faces were not visible, only their hands were moving rapidly. This vagueness made the picture even more mysterious.
It seemed that there might be a person lying under that green sheet, whose all hope, all trust was on those two hands. Thinking about it made my heart feel heavy. These doctors are they human or angels? Leaving everything behind, they must fight in such places day and night just to save a life.
They may have dark circles under their eyes, they may not have slept for a long time, but looking at the work of their hands, it seemed that there was no lack of focus and determination.
The name of the operation theater makes you shiver. And this picture also has that feeling in full. A cold silence, in which only the soft sound of the machines and the muffled whispers of the doctors can be heard it felt like I was standing there myself.
All the noise and busyness of the outside world – everything seems to be stuck outside this room. Time seems to move differently here. Every second is very precious. One wrong decision, one carelessness – and it’s all over. This tense tension, this silence, all together create a strange atmosphere. I felt like the biggest battle of life was going on inside this silence.
I wondered how many dreams the man lying under that green sheet must have had in his life. Maybe he had a small family, or a loved one who was eagerly waiting for him outside. All their hopes, all their prayers seemed to be mixed in the air of that room at that moment.
And these doctors and those machines in their hands, they seem to be fighting together to make those dreams, those prayers come true. It's not just fixing a body, it's giving a person a chance to live anew.
This photo is more than just a hospital photo. It shares with us the story of hope, and the incredible resilience of people. This is a candid composition, that reminds us that there are some people who won't quit when everything seems lost.
Those doctors are those people. And those machines are the measureless companions of that incredible resilience. When I look at the photo, I think about how lives can be so precious, how many people, how many tools, how much invisible struggle happens every day to keep that precious life alive.
This photo while it is a single image has the story of the struggle and survival of the entire human race immersed in it, heart that can be felt, even though they are not visible by our eyes.
