RE: What Have We Become?

in WORLD OF XPILAR11 days ago

Well, I live not so far away from one of the biggest ranges in the country and just until a couple of years ago I could here the artillery trainings once an year. Since the RU-UA war started, I hear them very often. Not sure where you get that info from, but I am sure EU has weapons. Far from enough, that is out of question, but then, how much is enough?

I hope we don't have to use sticks and stones but if anyone pushes any of those red nuclear buttons, we will be forced then. Too bad this seems more and more probable lately.

you can also give up on your culture, and simply adapt whomever conquors since in the end it's all the same

Bulgaria is one of the oldest countries in Europe, est. 681, we've been occupied for 2 centuries by Byzantines, then for five centuries by the Ottomans and then for 45 years by the communist (some of them still rule but with money instead of ideology), so we have some experience. Those centuries had put breaks in the development of the country, though, one of the reasons we are one of the poorest countries in EU. How a common Bulgarian thinks is quite different from how the Westerners think.

One example to illustrate the mindset - 85% of the population owns a property and the most just keep their money in the banks, no interest rates and monthly fees. I bet less than 1% have stocks and/or crypto :)
