Hoy desperté a horas del medio día o un poco más tarde. Me levanté de la cama y me cepillé los dientes escuchando algunas canciones de A Day To Remember, una banda que solía escuchar en mi adolescencia, esta madrugada me había quedado compartiendo música de mi adolescencia así que desperté escuchando lo mismo. Después de cepillarme, busqué mi comida y me senté en la computadora como siempre.
El día de hoy, desayuné viendo un video de Warren Huart en su canal de Youtube Produce Like a Pro. En este video, Warren estuvo hablando sobre 7 equipos que siempre usa para grabar, cinco de ellos me llamaron mucho la atención, entre ellos el pre-amplificador que usa cuando no está usando los pre-amplificadores de la interfaz que ambos solemos utilizar, un ecualizador, dos guitarras y un pedal para guitarra. Siempre es bueno ver con que trabajan otros ingenieros de grabación, así es que he podido seleccionar con el tiempo lo que mejor me conviene según mis necesidades profesionales.
I woke up at midday or a little later today. I got out of bed and brushed my teeth listening to some songs from A Day To Remember, a band I used to listen to when I was a teenager, this early morning I had stayed up sharing music from my teenage years so I woke up listening to the same thing. After brushing, I grabbed my food and sat down on the computer as usual.

Today, I had breakfast watching a video of Warren Huart on his Youtube channel Produce Like a Pro. In this video, Warren was talking about 7 equipments that he always uses to record, five of them caught my attention, among them the preamp that he uses when he''s not using the interface preamps that we both usually use, an equalizer, two guitars and a guitar pedal. It's always good to see what other recording engineers are working with, so I've been able to select over time what best suits my professional needs.
Al terminar de comer y ver el video de Warren, estuve conversando con mi equipo de trabajo, hoy debíamos reunirnos, pero por distintas razones tuvimos que cancelar la reunión, de una vez me puse a trabajar con uno de mis compañeros a distancia y luego continué yo solo con las tareas que había que realizar. Me dediqué a esto varias horas hasta que pude entregar un resultado coherente a uno de mis compañeros, ahora solo me quedaba esperar por su feedback. Mientras esperaba, empecé a ver un video de Peter Mckinnon y su amigo Alen Palander, en esta ocasión el video fue más de Alen que de Peter, a diferencia del video de ellos que vi hace unos días y mostré en uno de mis diarios. En este video, hablaron sobre lo que hay que hacer y lo que no hay que hacer en una cuenta de Instagram para contenido profesional. Lo más importante que pude rescatar fue la manera en que Alen trabajaba sus Highlights, están increíbles, me gustaron mucho.
When I finished eating and watching Warren's video, I had a conversation with my team. Today we were supposed to meet, but for different reasons we had to cancel the meeting, so I started working with one of my colleagues from a distance and then I continued with the tasks that had to be done by myself. I dedicated several hours to this until I was able to deliver a coherent result to one of my colleagues, now I just had to wait for his feedback. While I was waiting, I started watching a video of Peter McKinnon and his friend Alen Palander, this time the video was more of Alen than Peter, unlike their video I saw a few days ago and showed in one of my diaries. In this video, they talked about the do's and don'ts of an Instagram account for professional content. The most important thing that I was able to rescue was the way Alen worked on his Highlights, they are incredible, I liked them a lot.
Después de este video, vi otros videos que me habían recomendado sobre Jacob Collier, entre ellos una masterclass –muy larga por cierto- que está dividida en varias partes, solo pude ver la primera parte pero estuvo entretenida. La manera en que Jacob ve la música es muy interesante, siento que es tan apasionado con la música como yo con el audio, eso me genera empatía con él.
After this video, I saw other videos that had been recommended to me about Jacob Collier, among them a masterclass -very long by the way- that is divided in several parts, I could only see the first part but it was entertaining. The way Jacob sees the music is very interesting, I feel that he is as passionate about music as I'm about audio, that generates me empathy with him.
Luego de ver los videos de Jacob, me bañe, comí y me dedique a realizar el diario, ahora escuchare música de Jacob por un rato más e iré a dormir.
After watching Jacob's videos, I took a bath, ate, and dedicated myself to making the diary, now I'll listen to Jacob's music for a little while and then I'll go to sleep.
